on holiday for 2 weeks starting Friday 13th. Yay! I've stocked up on pain killers and have some booze so I should be OK :-) Only downside is no WOS :(

where you going? its not a fortnight in belmarsh is it?

The extra fortnight is the difference between 28 and 42 days, with my orange boiler suit. We are off to Primrose Valley up near Filey on the east coast. We are renting a static caravan this year. Normally we use our own tourer, but my hip is not up to all that at the moment. Shame, I like getting the caravan out and getting it ready - being a "proper Dad". This year its just a case of packing and going and seeing what mysteries a static caravan can bring. Lots of entertainment for the kids and some good swimming pools so we should all be happy.

When I was in the Army Cadets in 1983 we went for our summer camp in Scarborough and did a day trip out to Butlins in Filey.

There is even a website www.rememberfileybutlins.co.uk

It is so sad that people set up a website for something that happen 25 years ago....oops

You don't tend to get much response from free preview cams though, do you?

With all that pain kills and booze you wont even remember the 2 weeks. It will fly by in a drunken drugged up haze.

Kind of a wast of two weeks really :D

    Don't take too much - you'll get mouldy :-P
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

There is something odd going on. I've just given my Spectrum a rub and told the old girl not to be scared as I am only going to be away for a couple of weeks. Is that normal?

    LOL. Latest news October 2006.

Had a few holidays there when I was really young but I can't remember much from that far back anymore. But it was a lot like Hi De Hi! Must be over 30 years now.

Have fun, and don't you and Mrs. Cheese spend too long in the sun you'll melt....then someone will have to come and scrape you up (and maybe put you on a pizza).
