Anyone got an opinion about this one?
It looks quite interesting, wonder how it plays.
Let's play Global Thermo-Nuclear War.
when I was a i kid I tried often to play this game since I had it in portuguese...and the idea of hacking war games style sounded great...unfortunately I never really manage to do anything... if I recall it, there where no hints to where you should phone call...
I loved it! The only thing was you kept getting "security checks" where you'd have to sit for six minutes while the screen went through a routine of putting up white dots...
The Crash review includes a not-so prescient ending:
"Since the real thing is of course illegal, and becoming more difficult as computer fraud loop-holes tighten, this may soon be your only chance to play at being a computer hack"
The problem with both is that you need the instructions to give you the clue on where to start! For System 15000 the instructions are here, so you start with the number 672-3427 and type in code "SL312"
Of course real hackers would just break into the BASIC program and have a look at the code for the numbers!
The only thing that I don't like about System 15000 is that it runs a bit too slow for my liking. Thankfully, emulators come to the rescue with their speed-up option - 7MHz is just right!
Because its simulating a computer+modem I got really submerged in it and could pretend i was actually doing it for real. Absolutely loved it, amd played it not so long ago and still did!

Satcom, that's the one I'm thinking of ?1.99 is much more like it.
Yeah, I agree. I preferred both Satcom and Supercom. Both good games and both dirt cheap.
