Can anyone help me remember a game?

Hello there, I'm wondering if anyone can help me remember the name of a spectrum game I used to enjoy. I really can't remember a great deal about thegame (haven't played it in maybe 18 years!) But it was a 48k game, and came on 3 tapes. The graphics were terrible, like a stick man that you moved about...it was like a knight on a quest or something...I can't remember exactly how you played it, it may have been part type-in...I remember you could just load up one of the other tapes to skip ahead to the other levels, of course this meant you never had any of the stuff you needed to retain...maybe weapons or money or something...christ...I really can't remember this very well and I'm sure its an AWFUL game...but I'd love to see it again!!! :-D Any ideas anyone?

Hmm well apart from the 3 tape bit.. sounds a bit like Valhalla. But then Im ALWAYS wrong on these "name the game" threads ! :)

Hehe, the right idea, but not it I'm afraid. The tape cover doesn't ring a bell, and the graphics look too good. The graphics were a lot simpler than that. Like a stick man moving in a maze. Maybe even as crap as this quick mspaint mock up...

It could be Black Crystal or Journey's End.

YES! Journeys end! Thats it!! Thank you!!!!!

So, was it three tapes, or three games like it says??...maybe thats why you could load the other games/levels so easily.

Cool though...need to have a little bash at this. I can remember loving the font, and the day I "broke" into the game and saved the data of that font for my own programs was a proud day indeed! :)

Journey's End is actually amazingly long and HARD if I remember correctly, once you reach the castle you will have issues but timing is important ... it's a great game which, with a bit of tweaking could be a hit RPG seller, even by today's standards ;-) (just my honest 2p)
