To the Yanky ex pats etc.

Any day is a good day off, even if it is to celebrate getting our asses kicked.

I wanna tell you a story 'bout a woman I know...

I was going to post a joke about 4 July and the fact I live 30 minutes from the longest running Independence Day parade in the country (in Bristol, RI), that all of America's closest friends (at least the ones that Bush II has alienated the least) are our biggest allies and the fact that Canada had to ask for their independence in 1982, but Firefox went haywire on me. So it's lost to the ages.

Anyway, it's actual about 6:30 Eastern Daylight Savings Time here in Newport. But hey, close enough (you guys are a couple hours ahead of us).

aye, independance day a great day for all america and no mistake. it brings a tear to my eye to think of those proud american soldiers fighting for their freedom against a foreign power imposing their will on them.

    Happy Independence Day!

Fuck only knows why the Americans take a whole day off to celebrate a mediocre sci-fi movie, but there's nowt stranger than folk

We get July 5th (well, July 7th this year, since the 5th is a Saturday) - Tynwald Day (Laa Tinvaal) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tynwald_day

Tynwald Day had already been happening for over 350 years before the United States even existed :-)

I won't celebrating bugger all, I work tonight, in fact I'm the only one working tonight. Probably cos' I'm the only one who works there who isn't American, I felt like pulling the race card and shouting "Discrimination", making the limey work J4.

Dunno what I'm gonna be doing tonight though as the boss left us a rather harsh note on the time clock tonight basically telling us to do tonights and tommorow nights work in one go.

Did it but man I'm tired, and sore now my shoulders feel like they've been punched repeatedly.

But not to worry Im getting paid double time, and I'm going out on the piss on Saturday night. So it ain't all that bad really :)

No but they sell them in English shops. Soon he'll try to ban all junkfood, and swap it for food him and Hugh Fernley Twatinstall have grown on their bumchum gaylord ranch.

It'll be all weird shit like Primrose Jelly, and pork marrowbone soup.
