Yeah, I suspect that may not be the case.

That severed hand bothers me, especially being right next to the regenerating Doctor.

yeah and didn't river song recognise him, even though he was from his future? its gotta be something to do with his name, cos they kept hinting at it throughout the season.

No, she knew it was him, but not in his appearance. It was a different Doctor she knew. She assumed it was a later Doctor she met, not an earlier one. That's why she was a bit dissapointed that he didn't know her.

Just watched the whole of 'The Hand of Fear' with Chris.... seconds from the end credits of episode four he turns round and says.. "Oh, was that Sarah Jane from the new series?"

Yup....... thats the man I'm marrying.

You only had yourself to blame. Shame on you...

A few posts ago I mentioned that us Americans would be getting "Journey's End" on 1 August. I actually meant 8 August, because I forgot "Midnight".

Oh, btw, I only watched the first few episodes of "The Sarah Jane Adventures" (meh. It feels like it's targeted to preteen girls, which is all the more befuddling why Sci Fi passed on the rights to "Torchwood" - allowing BBC America to pick it up - but snapped up "The Sarah Jane Adventures") but I understood which characters were from the show.

The Sarah Jane Adventures is shown after school - between 4 and 5, so yes it is aimed at school kids.

Not here. Sci Fi showed it at 8PM on Fridays beginning on 11 April 2008 before Doctor Who (which is on at 9PM) and they showed two episodes (the previous week's episode, and this week's episode) until they ran out and it was replaced by a Canadian show called "Charlie Jade" which after two episodes was moved to a new time slot - 3AM on Tuesday mornings. Yeah, that's a death slot if there ever was one - and the slot is now a repeat of last week's "Doctor Who".

BBC American meanwhile, shows Torchwood on Saturdays at 9PM. I've already explained to you guys the syndication of Doctor Who in America, right? Well it bares repeating:

Doctor Who was picked up by Sci Fi in 2006, showing "Rose" on 1 March, 2006. Series 2 debuted on 29 September 2006, Series 3 on 6 July 2007 and Series 4 on 18 April 2008. Now, BBC America debuted "Rose" on 21 November 2006, which are technically repeats, but they're new to them (and they don't cut the episodes like Sci Fi does) and in early December 2007, PBS stations - which were the broadcasters of the original run - began showing Series 1 (I don't know what they're on now, tho as none of the PBS stations near me run it. They're too busy showing decades old episodes of "Are You Being Served?" to bother). BBC America bought the US rights to "Torchwood" on 8 September 2007 and is the most watched show in the history of the network (which was previously held by "Hex". Yes, i'm aware that the BBC didn't MAKE "Hex", but they do show some ITV and Channel 4 productions) and they began showing the second season of the show on 26 January 2008.

No one shows "Doctor Who Confidential" except for the PBS affiliates, although BBC America shows 60-second snips of "Torchwood Declassified" during the second commercial break of "Torchwood".

But actually surprising decent at times, better than much of Torchwood at any rate.

That was pretty good - needs a second viewing, though. A *lot* was going on...

I enjoyed that! So did small cheese (6 years old). Will watch it again to pickup bits tomorrow.

I had to switch on the subtitles, mainly because of fast dialog plus the Dalek voices.

I *really* liked the group scene in the Tardis whilst flying the Earth home. Wish they didn't have to get rid of Donna, though. She was the best companion by far.

I thought it was on a par with last week's episode.
    I didn't think much of last week's episode... :p

Glad to see the back of RTD.

I liked that, quite a lot to take in. Good episode. Good to see Rose and the "Doctor" get to spend a life together.

Thinking about it, it's a nice way of setting up a year without a regular companion - you can't hurt anyone if you're on your own.

It wasn't so bad, apart from Roses bloody mother turning up, and being an annoying airhead mongette again.

Worth it for the line telling her not to touch anything in the Tardis :)

I'm amazed that no-one has mentioned the ring Donna was wearing :)
    My test signature

    It's not the Master's ring.

It was awesome (apart from the Earth towing rubbish and cheesy companions flying the TARDIS scene). Davros still scares the shite out of me.

shop assistants have no sense of humour, i returned a copy of 'unbreakable' (the film), and told her that ironicaly it wouldn't work, i didn't even get so much as a smile out of her.

I suspect its becuse they have to deal with a lot of idiots everyday.

Better to look miserable than to reach over and rip out the throat of another self righteous customer.

I enjoyed it, good ending to a good story......

But it was a bit of a massive oversight (plothole?) by Davros not to imprison Donna in a holding cell when he zapped her, wasn't it? He made sure that the clone 'Doctor' was imprisoned immediately and all the humans had been put into holding cells as well even though they'd been disarmed. Hmmmmmm....

I didn't think the non-Rose humans were put in a containment field. Weren't they all just told to kneel? Anyway, not as good as last week's episode, which was 220% concentrated awesome, but still pretty good. Nice to see the power struggle in Dalek ranks: Davros is back to being the Daleks' [strike]bitch[/strike] pet. It was good to see Donnna as the Doctor's equal (or better) for a short while. Bring back Romana, and let's have more of that! Seriously, it's a companion/Doctor dynamic that we haven't had since the divine Lalla walked off into e-space. Obviously Catherine Tate only signed up for one series, so they had to pension her off somehow. She was too good for killing: only Adric deserves that fate. A memory wipe was suitably tragic. Oh, Das Deutch spreken Daleken v?r triffik. All in all it was a good way to wrap up the RTD era.

Having read an interview with Russel T 'seems like a nice boy' Davis, he said that Dr.Who does stuff that Star Trek and Star Wars couldn't. Fair enough. The towing the earth with a tardis idea stank the place up so thats probably why Star Trek never did it... my kids lost interest after 5 minutes. As usual.

I like some of it I really do, but its getting so beyond belief as each show passes that I'm seriously going off it. Its like a merry-go-round thats spinning ever faster out of control.
