When i read the thread title i felt sorry for her (could be some old dear who did something stupid) but after clicking on the link and reading...

I think the humane traps are a lot safer and more effective myself.
This one looks humane. The mouse won't feel a thing. US Patent 296,766 apparently. Perhaps firearms are the accepted way of dealing with vermin in the US?

i was being satirical about the colonial americans treatment of the native americans. i am in no way impling that the native americans are at all vermin.
'cept for those dead indians in poltergiest, they were a problem.
