It does a little, but bear in mind that a lot of the music in Takeshi's Castle is ripped straight from old NES/arcade games anyway. I've heard the music (and some sound fx) from Capcom's 'Son Son' on there a few times.
There was a really horrible game starring Takeshi, though it's not about Takeshi's Castle. Apparently it was bloody hard, too: http://www.goodtimeretrocafe.com/nes/takeshi.html
There's some youtube vids when you search for "Takeshi's Challenge", or here is one. Looks like a pretty bad game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_c098ZgYv5I
I bet they could get a good game of Takeshi's Castle together for the Wii these days if programmed well ...
Takeshi's Castle currently runs on TV here too, I think it's the same version you got in the U.K. - the intro is incredibly bad with pseudo-anime style characters looking like they were drawn by a 4-year old and an ugly 3D castle at the end without any textures. And the commentary during the show sounds like an utter prat/twat. I remember when the show ran back in around 1999/2000 there was a different intro which looked much nicer than the current travesty and the commentary also wasn't half as annoying.

What, more mini-games? :(
If Double Dare and It's A Knockout on the Speccy or American Gladiators on the SNES are anything to go by, I'd rather they didn't :D
There are actually a couple of Famicom games based on Takeshi's Castle itself, but apparently they're not much cop. Haven't played them though so you never know.

If it is the same version as the UK you get (and not the horribly annoying American one which has really bad edits), then the commentator is Craig Charles, who played 'Lister' in the long running and very popular TV series Red Dwarf.
I've actually met him at an autograph signing though, and yes he's a prize twat. He was pissed even though it was only quite early in the day, and he actually told me to 'fuck off' when I said that I was a 'Keshi-Head' (a phrase he himself invented for fans of the show). I can see the funny side in retrospect though :p
