don't know why so unusual colors - maybe it's because of resize or screenshot taken from version for another platform, but i certainly remember playing this game on spectrum.
I seem to remember that picture...I've seen it not that long ago...
for the look of it, it seems like a game from the years 1987 to 1989 (well you might just look for 86 as well).
my best guess would be a shoot-em-up platformer...so why don't you try to search for the loading screens of the shmoops from those years? I bet not only you'll find that game as you'll find plenty other games you didn't recall!

It is in fact a Spectrumized version of the cover of Sinclair User from august 1987, featuring Exolon.
However, do you have the whole picture? There is some part of the image that seems to be not Spectrum, e.g. the mouth seems to use too many colours in a small area, that is red, white, blue and yellow.
It could of course be explained if the image is in very large scale and one pixel on the picture above represent perhaps four spectrum pixels.
Is that not just BRIGHT on or off?

Even then it wouldn't work out. Save that pic to your harddisk and magnify it. Then look at the white helmet bit under his chin, you'll see that the white colour has bright 0 and 1 differences done in a way you could to the best of my knowledge never achieve (even at 4x4 pixels blown-up graphics) on a bog-standard Speccy - only if every pixel on this picture was 1 attribute square which I doubt since it was referred to as a "loading screen". No idea about any of the russian clones though.

You mean that the white BRIGHT seems to go diagonaly? If so, you are certainly correct, as that would not be possible on a standard Spectrum.
So it still would be interesting to know where the picture came from and to see the whole images (as it from the shape seems to be cut down)?

You're right. It's alternative loading screen for "Exolon" created by Maciej Sawicki.
