Dear KARMA, oi sort it out you bastard!

I've lost my remote control for the telly. It's no fair!

Monday night, monday fucking night, I was elbow deep in my neighbours wheelie bin looking for her lost wedding ring.

She's about 85 years old, and looks to me for help when she needs it, and I didn't even mind. But how come I was arse deep in fucking potato peelings, and now I've lost my remote control.
Kindly have it stare me in the face when I next make a cuppa, thanks.

The old lady next door is holding it hostage until you "peel" the rest of her "potatoes" ... ... ...

nah, the next door lady is old, mad and insane, and ITALIAN!

Italians feature heavily in Bedford. Apart from England v Italy footie, I tend to steer clear.

Still aint found the remote though. :(

Did you check your back pocket? You could have sat in gum and then your remote got stuck there ... you know ... one cheek or the other.

I've got it. I stole it for the batteries. And I''m selling it on ebay.

    That'll learn you.

And yes, Bedford is full of Italians. Most of them seem to cut hair.

They must've all moved from Newcastle to Bedford in about 1988

Sorry not meaning to stereotype but I haven't seen an Italian Barber man for years and I'll be honest they were all over at one time. It's like Italian Barbers were almost as popular as Italian eateries in the 80's (and probably just as authentic too ) :D

Its down the side of the armchair, along with enough money to buy 4 cans of high octane lager.

We lost the remote in our old telly years ago and I always blamed my 2 year old nephew who lives nextdoor. Cut to a couple of years later and when we got a new 3 piece suite I cut open the bottom of the old settee (to see if any money had fallen down) and there it was!

I remember our first colour TV back in the day ... giant hulk of a thing too, Decca ... and absolutely no remote control whatsoever!

The first VCR we got (I think around 1986/87) had a remote ... and it wasn't even cordless!

Ahhhhhh ... those were the days ... when man was worry-free of remote misplacement.
