JUST installed and had a bash.. and mighty fine it looks and plays too !! BIG file size (for a remake) at 24megs.. but worth it. :)
Im sure some of the 3D nuts on here will find this right up their alley.

I wonder if we'll see remakes of Starstrike II and Starfox sometime?
1 - If you hadn't shot the fireballs in the first stage that are now out of view, they will still hit you. That never happened in the original Star Strike or Star Wars.
2 - Using the mouse is fine for the game, but I'd like the option to use a joystick, and to also speed up how quickly I can move, as on the towertops section the movement of the craft is incredibly sluggish.
Got my heart racing.

Hello
Thanks for kind words, and Im glad that you are enjoying it. Reference the above I have fixed that bug now (sorry I know it was annoying). The new version (1.0.3) is available to download from http://www.starstrike.urbaninteractive.net
Cheers,
Unc
Yeah, the first stage plays much better now. I still think the trench section controls should be more responsive - not the up/down motion (that's fine), but the left/right motion is still too slow. The catwalks on the later levels are soo close, that you can't move quick enough from left to right to get around them, no matter now quick you are.
Also in the trench run, I think the gun emplacements should not fire at you when you are right up alongside them. You get hit if you're on the same side and there's no way you can shoot the fireballs to avoid being hit. PM me if you want a better description of what I mean. Apart from those issues, well done! I can see this being a very, VERY popular remake of a classic game!
