I have a brother who plays this damn thing all the bloody time. I fail to see what he see's in it. It looks to me like he's doing the same thing over and over again. He loves it though (and so do several thousand other people too) I just don''t. So I'm not playing
Never played any of the games, but I did just buy 2 Killa Kans today :-D
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

the only Warhammer worth playing, is the original roleplaying / wagaming version.
my friends and I would play, we'd spend a day rolling dice for the characters of complete armys.
we had loads of figures (didn't bother painting them) and place small stickers on them, with designations i.e A1, A2, A3, A4, B1, B2 etc
then roll the full stats for the leaders, officers and sergeants, and keep track of them all on a lists of A4 paper
then the battle began, and it would be a cross between a roleplaying game and a full on wargame. When a soldier was killed, he would be removed from the field, his name struck from the record.
and when soliders gained XP etc, or the main characters advanced we'd keep track of that too

I'll check it out if it's turn-based.
