    also add to your list

    ace of spades
    bomber
    stay clean
    eat the rich
    ramones
    1916
    iron horse
    overkill

    for starters

Infact, just add the whole of the 1916 album. It's bar far my favorite Motorhead album. While we are talking about Motorhead I must be the only person to have seen them live the one time that they DIDN'T play Ace Of Spades. I suppose as I went to the second night of a three night stint they didn't feel like playing it.

Was that on the 1983 "Another Perfect Tour" Tour, with Robbo on guitar.

I saw them on this tour at Derby Assembly rooms, and they played very little popular soongs. I can't remember if they played Ace of spades or not, but clearly rememebr that they did not play "motorhead". In fact it goes down as one the worst concerts I've seen.

NO, it was just another tour I quess. It was about 1998 I think. It was at the Astoria and it was not long befre they did the tour with the old Bomber set. My only real momory of it was that I got to meet Lemmy as he was playing the fruit machine by the bar as the doors opened (and the fact that he's just a bit shorter than me and I think that I'm quite short) and the fact that it was bloody loud, but that goes without saying

...actually let me rephrase that the only decent British football song, there was Mas que nada, by Sergio mendez, and the Brazil 66 team,

was it the actual football team? because sergio mendez's band was also called Brazil 66. Ive got an album called Equinox by them. Im sure you're right but it seems weird...

Just put on the Beatle's 'Help' cd. This was their last normal album before they got all arty and thoughtful. Good stuff.

You could be right, I just assumed that the guys singing the in the background on the chorus or whatever was actually the 66 Brazil team. Since that tune is so heavily associated with footy these days I just put 2 and 2 together.

    I could be wrong?

What the hell was that album called that has the Beatles tunes mixed with hip hop tracks, a super daring album that's actually really good, I had a dubious copy of it a few years back I think. DJBC or something like that, The album cover has a cartoon guy on it with cartoon beatles in the back ground, I think the art style is similar to Afro Samurai for some reason.

Mel you'll know it you like shit like that, or Def Chris, one of you 2 will know what I'm on about?

    I'm sure it's DJBC Presents.......something or other?

It's the Dangermouse one I was thinking of, but that beastles one is pretty cool too, don't think I had it but I think one of my friends did.

But it was the Grey album I had, I think somewhere in my mind I'd mixed the 2 together to to make one album?

Cheers for that though the name's been doing my head in for weeks :D

sadly - cos I think it would be great to hear the brazil squad on a sergio mendez tune - I think it is actually his band Brazil '66, which is 2 girls and about 3 guys. see where you'e coming from though!

talking football songs, I really like Black Grape - 'England's Irie', got the single...there's a great line from Kermit: "My wife's lactating and I'm spectating...It's a football thing"
