    The Velvet Underground

    Venus in Furs

I guess the album version since there's about 400000000 billion different versions of this tune :D

I like the car tyre advert version :) It's the car tyre song in our house because the Mrs says "You're not playing that car tyre song again are you?" when I play it. She knows exactly what it is she just does it to wind me up.

I've been listening to mashups and old school rap today (well not really old school what used to be called gangster rap before that term started being used for all that crunk shit), NWA and Ice-T mostly

That ad was class, that weird fat guy just sitting there looking miserable.

Martin Gilks dad was one of my teachers and he gave us lifts to gigs when I was at school.

I'm a bit down at the moment because of their 20th anniversary date at Brum tomorrow because we didn't buy tickets because SWMBO should have been heavily pregnant and didn't fancy it. She saw an advert for the gig the other day and got quite upset. Fuck knows how bad my birthday is going to be that was going to be Isabelles birthday as well :(

Now I've bought down the thread to a new depressing low I can only add to it by saying I'm listening to my son murdering Guitar Hero 3 at the moment.

That doesn't look bad I've ignored that mag in the shops for weeks now.

This evenings listening includes lots of stuff that's going on my new shuffle for in the gym as you can't use mobile phones to listen to music in case you are a perv now and my shuffle shuffled off its mortal coil (mmm new ideas for stuff to put on the list now) last winter after a few nasty wet runs.

Cansei de Ser Sexy ? Music is my hot sex
Crystal Castles ? Mother Knows Best
The Yardbirds ? For Your Love
Beastie Boys ? Fight for Your Right
DJ Muggs & DJ Warrior ? Rick Ruben vs. Beastie Boys
Fun Lovin' Criminal vs. Orbital ? All the Chime In the World
Beats International vs. Dr. Alban ? Be Good To Me (No Coke Riddim Mashup)
Klaxons v/s NIN ? The Skan That Feeds
Michael Jackson vs. Ministry ? Just One Jackson
Killing Joke vs. Britney Spears & Garbage ? Killing Stupid Britney

Out of the mashups included the Golden Skans/Hand that feeds mash up is worth a listen on it's own.

Yeah it was last months I think (I don't remember the Dylan Special having a disc but I read that in WHSmith for free). I almost bought this months for the Lenard Cohen interview last week. I've started meeting my 10 year old halfway home from school and I sit on a wall reading a magazine. It's costing me a fortune I stopped buying the NME donkeys years ago so the cover price is astounding to me now and the fucking glossy paper is like police cell bog roll.

Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.
