Opus emulation

EightyOne supports Opus emulation and runs under Wine as well as Windows.

    Yep, EightyOne does a great job. We've tested many OPD images (look at the latest TZX Vault update) and they're fine. The only problem, is that some disk might have basic copy protection and the OPD format cannot store such anomalies. I've got a number of Opus disks stored as EDSK, so if anyone fancies adding Opus support, please consider allowing to read EDSK too so we can check to see if my disks are just dodgy.
    Actually I have the dump from at least two source disks which both have bad sectors in the same place.

    I wonder if the emulators that support Microdrive could be quickly adapted to accept Opus too, as I believe the commands were the same.

    That's great to know. I've been using EightyOne for a while because I really like its intuitive cassette tape handling and also the ZX80/1, Jupiter Ace & Timex emulation.

    I never noticed the Opus handling before, but next time I load an OPD up, I'll try it in EightyOne.
