Name this game (idea)...

Who here used to play conkers?

I did.

I Have a crappy little shield for winning my conkers championship at Cubs back in 198 ...(cough), back in the early eighties.

Do you ever play the rule where if your opponent's conker fell off his shoe lace, you were allowed to stamp on it; and vice versa?

That would make such a cool game - stamping on people's conkers.

But what on earth could a game like that be called?

....i'm at a complete loss!

Or if they dropped it, but you had to shout stamps first, to earn the right to stamp.

Ah! A polite Cub Pack, no doubt.

Down in deepest South London, it was stamp or be stamped. Awful lot of stamp crime around that time - there were stamp amnesties ....etc (you get the gist!)

at my school, if you dropped the conker you were allowed to pick it up. which sounds good in theory, but if you did bend down many horrible things might happen to you.

the other kid may twat you on the head with his conker
the other kid may call you a bender for trying to suck him off
you were called a scratter for picking things up off the floor
you got a kick up the arse
other kids may say you have skid marks and call you a gypsy

this pretty much led to the dropper actually stepping on his own conker in a sort of honarable act.
