I can't actually remember if it is any good or not - but they used to show it on TV back in the eighties. I have very vague memories of watching it as a child. Hasn't been on TV for years AFAIK.
Scrooge (1951) with Alistair Sim
The Polar Express - Has any one seen it in 3D Imax ?
Mickey's Christmas Carol.
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation - The sledging scene !!!!
This may seem a bit off the wall but I feel Plains, Trains and Automobiles also works as a Christmas movie.
You know I generally don't like christmas movies, especially christmas movies with Tim Allen.
But for some bizarre reason I like Christmas with the Kranks, I think Dan Akroyd maybe saves it, as he is the typical christmas obsessed white suburbanite.
People like the people in that movie generally make me sick and I'd like to fucking stab them all with a broken bottle!!!

Last film he made before disappearing off the planet...
Guess he never got over getting bumped by Disney for a genuine Londoner like Dick Van Dyke...

The only time I've seen it as a flat movie was last December, when I was stuck in hospital all month and missed the annual BFI showing. :( It just wasn't the same...
Especially Goblet of Fire for the Yule Ball scene -- when else did you ever see snow falling inside a ballroom? :) Plus that dress -- Emma Watson in her best jailbait mode. ;)
I never make misteaksmistrakesmisyaleserrurs — oh, sod it.

I love it - probably because it's *not* made by Disney/Pixar. Beautiful 3D animation work, too.
You mean "The Grinch" ???
Also from the '80s we have Scrooged
and of course
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
Here's one you won't hear very often:-
"Quincy's Quest" (1979) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290819/
featuring the British entertainer, Tommy Steele!

Trading Places is a bit christmassy i suppose
Well, it's set in Christmas IIRC and they always show it around Christmas.
Then again ITV used to always show "Breakdance: The Movie" (1984, aka breakin') on new year's eve, but I never understood why!

Isn't that Thanksgiving ?
"Oh sh*t, it's Christmas..."
Not sure if it's a real album or just some silly spoof though!
A Christmas Carol (The the one with Patrick Stewart & Richard E Grant).
Muppet's Christmas Carol
and
Blackadder's Christmas Carol
I still never saw the Alastair Sim version of Scrooge all the way through yet - but hopefully will do at some point.
I think I went to school with the guy in the middle on the bottom row
Doesn't every school have someone in it who looks a little bit like that?
I think we might have had at least two of 'em

Home Alone.
Home Alone 2.
Elf.
Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom.
Debbie Does Dallas...
interesting...
Indeed, I just checked out his Wikipedia entry. Seems he had a long hiatus away from work, but eventually resurfaced in some West End shows.
In fact I forgot he existed until posting about that film!
Seems the film can be bought - but only from specalist "rare movie" dealers.

Unsurprisingly, not available in the shops. :D

Lol I watched Problem Child 2 yesterday afternoon, what a pile of crap, but in a fun way :D
Nothing to do with christmas though.
A slap? More like a napalm strike.
Love horror/thriller films but family entertainment PG type films on at Xmas, urrggh !
He slept at the Jackson place, wasn't that torture enough?
Nothing happened apparently.
Although maybe young Macauley drank too much "Jesus Juice" that night
