'The Family Man' is a pretty good 'modern' one.

I loved Scrooged. I hope they show it again this year. I also like National lampoons christmas vacation (the one with Chevy Chase). That was quite funny.

The IMAX Polar Express must be amazing to watch - must try and check it out...

Its on again this christmas at the IMAX at Birmingham Thinktank.

Apparently it was actually produced with this format in mind.

The Polar Express was the first film I took my son to see, so I will always have fond memories of it.

    "Quincy's Quest" (1979) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290819/
featuring the British entertainer, Tommy Steele!

I'd just like to add that Tommy Steele is a Bermondsey Boy, Having been born around the corner from where I grew up (It's where my user name comes from). Also on that list is Michael Baymore and Jade Goody, so I don't really know why I'm bragging. I'd like to say in my defence that I was actually born in Bradford

Can I add "Black Christmas" to the list as well. Nothing like a good stalk and slash film for the festive season :D

Make it the original though. The remake was a real letdown, even with mmmMichelle Trachtenberg in it.

There's also Silent Night, Deadly Night, which is a fun bit of cheesy slasher trash that had about a million sequels. It gets bonus points for actually having the killer dressed as Santa :D

Yes, I learnt this the other day when I read his Wikipedia entry. I also learnt that his autobiography is actually called "Bermondsey Boy".

I knew about Jade Goody. Didn't know about Barrymore though.

Went today with my Wife and Lad, to see it at Thinktank Brum. It really was as you say, amazing to watch. Some of the scenes are superb.

Don't you think the trampy kid looks like Duey from Malcolm in the middle, I was pretty sure it must have been that little fucker that played him. I didn't research enough to find out, as I don't really care.

I hired it from the vid shop up the road before I left England on my wifes say so, what a waste of life. It looks fantastic I will admit but that's it, I can't imagine all the good use the money used to make that pile of crap could have been used for instead.

    It's kind of laughable.
