Sewer Level...

I was just looking at the Daffy Duck comercial, and realised that back in the day, pretty much every game had a sewer level...

I how come there are so many sewer levels in games?and what games can you mention with sewer levels? ill start with...

Clever & Smart (I was going to say garfield but I just can't remember if Garfield had a sewer or a basement...

    IIRC there was a level called "Sewers" in "Last Ninja 2".

    Maybe sewers are easy to draw :)

    The 16-bit era similarly had the "ice level". Once deep physics-influenced controls were the norm, pretty much every platform game and lots of other games had a slippery icy level. *yawn*

    Next, with the dawn of textured 3D, redolent with the promise of accurately-rendered realistic splendour, gave us... mostly warehouses.

    Not sure what the current gen equivalent would be. Anyone not supporting a family on one income care to tell me? :)

    Bombed-out cities maybe? Step forward Gears of War 1 & 2, Fallout 3, Turning Point, Legendary, Resistance 1 & 2 and friends. Bonus points if the rubble Hems the levels in, forcing you to take ridiculously convoluted routes to get to a building 20 feet away.
