Sorry for the double post, just to state that information regarding these two games (Sir Gawain and Mine Alert) was sent to K & ENTER and another website dedicated to lost Spectrum games by Microhobby.

I sent the webmasters links to the threads here in the forum.

I do not know these sites. Would be nice if you can post the links :-).

    This is K & Enter: http://www.speccy.org/kyenter/

And this is Proyecto BASIC http://microhobby.speccy.cz/zxsf/listados/

The email i sent to K & Enter has bounced back, does anyone have an alternate contact?

EDIT: Last post is dated 2003, doubt it's being updated anymore :(

Well, as I am the owner of "Proyecto BASIC" site, I'm glad to know the efforts of NaMcO with Sir Gawain being typed-in.

I did receive his e-mails very shortly, so I directly came right here to see the results.

I'll have a look in deep to this game, as well as with Mine Alert. :-)

In fact, I would like these programs in my site, but there will be no problem if they are already submitted to WOS archive.

Keep on typing-in or copying, NaMcO, and don't hesitate to contact with me. ;-)

Yep, "K y Enter" has been kinda abandoned. I hope one day the project will be finished and we'll have every single type-in from Microhobby (not just the Basic ones). I also hope I'll find time to help!

Nice work NaMcO & LCD !
While you were at it, I took a look at the basic block and corrected some mistakes and added missing lines (including one with the author's name), which I'm sure would cause problems in later screens.
So, here is the fixed TZX.
Hope this one is 100% bug free!
    Enjoy :)

I tried Sir Gawain and I'm surprised to see such a high quality in type-in game. It has good graphics and smooth animation. Unfortunately the difficulty level is too high for me to play it properly.
Using rollback I made a rzx recording of this game. It should be available soon from RzxArchive.

Trying to play the game right now. There's was some sprite corruption when I moved the character to the left (O+A was the key combination I was trying to use).

This game is weird somehow :D Crashes a lot in 128k mode (normal 128k emulation) and 48k mode of a 128k ROM. I didn't even dare try +2A and +3 :-P

    Still lovely nevertheless.

Just watched the RZX playing, real nice ;) Didn't think the game was so small, but then again, 10k... ;)

I do not got any crash or Sprite corruption... Not in 128K mode and not in 48K mode. I made a binary comparsion of NaMcOs and my code, and found only that difference in first part, we already know. Anything else is correst.

I tried this game last week and its damn too hard, there is an issue with the collision detection. But the graphics are quite good.
