The late 70s and early 80s saw a huge surge in the popularity of electronic toys and games. Since then, technology has progressed so swiftly that any self-respecting youngster would view a ZX Spectrum or Commodore 64 as an antique. However, the people who grew up with these machines look back fondly on all those hours spent staring at the flickering screen while mastering a joystick. Theres is a growing market for early computers and game consoles such as Atari, Nintendo and Game Boy. I wouldn't be surprised if one day these were held in the same nostalgic regard as the original Dinky Toys are now.
There is a picture of the Atari joystick with games built in and a schoolboy with a Spectrum.
