Ron Asheton RIP

Only just heard about it this morning through a mate, Ron Asheton (guitarist for The Stooges) found dead in his home last week. :-(

    There were loads of tributes to him at the weekend. In my opinion he was THE most talented member of The Stooges.
    I've always failed to see the appeal of Iggy Pop, seeing a bloke getting his knob out does nothing for me...

    Erm, yeah, luckily there was none of that when I went to see him!! :grin:

    I have to say that although Iggy was a bit of a nut on stage Ron Asherton was the sole reason I wanted to see The Stooges live, now I never will.

    Irritatingly enough I missed meeting him (by about 10 minutes) when I was on a training course in Ann Arbor, a couple of guys I was with apparently knew him quite well.

    Ho humm I guessed it stopped a 32 year old man behaving like a dumb teenager
