don't forget (tony hawks? ) Morris Minor and the Majors with Stutter Rap.

That was more of a reaction to the Beastie Boys, rather than breakdancing.

But still a good excuse to dig out these two videos again:

I can't think of breakdancing and not remember of that anoying charecter (well they all where I anoying I know...) in Police Academy, the one that made all the stupid sounds...

i like that little black woman, she'd be all quiet then she'd get pushed too far and start shouting. she managed to do it about 3 times in every film.

Hooks I think she was called? Yep if it wasn't for her and the 2 other "token" characters Jones, and Hightower. The police academy films would've been shit, can you imagine Steve Gutenberg and Tackleberry carrying those movies from start to finish ergh!

Although Mr. Sweetchuck could've saved them :D

Yeah - that was Michael Winslow - also known as the man of 10000 sound effects!
About half a year ago he "played" in the SU of the University I went to during their rag week.
I missed it 'cos of work. Bitchin' :(

Has GreenCard got anymore suggestions(electro with few lyrics preferred) before I combine youtube, a 3.5mm male mini-jack cable ,my minidisc recorder, a fresh blank disc and an AA battery?

The more the merrier - you're hitting the nail on the head so far. I've just had a look around Youtube and I'm finding all my old favorites:

I'm really enjoying this :) I had a quick look on youtube myself:

IMPERIAL BROTHERS "WE DUB TO SCRATCH" 1984 (Now this is the kind of stuff I really like)
Egyptian Lover f.Electric Kingdom Siberian Nights ultimx(This was our lino and ghetto blasters battle tune for ages! Good memories :) )
The Egyptian Lover - Egypt, Egypt
    Twilight 22 - Electric Kingdom
    Key-Matic - Breakin' In Space

Yep, that's a great tune... if you like that, you should try and get your hands on Streetsounds Electro 4 (I can probably PM you a link to a download if you can't find it).

Anyway, here's a few more from YouTube:

    Freestyle - Don't Stop The Rock: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LfXKkNo7YZ8
    Information Society - Running: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=PwzauHkCueQ
    Arthur Baker - Breaker's Revenge: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-emvy_rIiyQ
Man Parrish - Boogie Down Bronx: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=EEbOv8xExFo
Orange Lemon - Dreams Of Santa Ana (remix of Jellybean's The Mexican... no vocals, but it's a classic!!): http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=csDzaxsFjVs
Pumpkin & The All-Stars - Here Comes That Beat: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=oywyp5J4INE
    C.O.D. - In The Bottle: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=YvjVDBfmJZc

Erm... I'm sure I'll think of more... :-D

To hairband and glam rock hell to those who dissmiss vintage 80s hip hop :) I loved it then and still do very much, but it's all horses for courses as they say and there's no accounting for taste etc. etc..

For those who like that stuff you can get some mixes from here if you like:

Oh, and Whodini being the only one that came out with any sort of respect intact.. tsk.

    Great link Fizza :) Thanks!

You may take a look at www.weareie.com - some guys I know run this and it's a huge collection of dub/dance hall/drum'n'bass/ambient excellence.

If you're into that kind of thing you will discover that these boys whilst not that well known(above ground anyway) have a knack of producing the highest quality mixes you're likely to hear. Their tune selection is just spot on and the production of the mixes........you can't buy mixes of this quality - they just don't exist in shops etc.
Naptha in particular is a drum'n'bass selector like no other - pure class.
