David Webb (David M. Webb).

Whatever happened to David Webb (refered to on the WOS database as David M. Webb), the bloke who wrote Starglider? He was a really talented programmer, and he wrote two great Spectrum books (Super Charge Your Spectrum, and Advanced Spectrum Machine Language, but after Starion he seems to have left the Spectrum scene.

Just to correct you, but David Webb didn't write Starglider, Jez San did (converted to the Speccy by Realtime Games).

    Here's his website:

Apparently he's now "retired", lucky lad. By my calculation, he can't be much older than 44. Now, that makes me feel thoroughly depressed...

Ah, sorry, I did mean Starion, not Starglider.

Would you buy a space and time travelling, anagram solving, 3D shoot-em-up Speccy game from this man?

If he had stubble, he'd look like Sylar from Heroes.

He doesn't what? Doesn't have stubble, or just doesn't look like Sylar at all?

There's a guy who's an employee of a client of the company I work for and he's even more of a spitting image of Sylar (I agree that DW does). He's quite proud of it in fact, I'll have to get him to pose for a pic! He really is scarily alike!

I'm more intrigued to see as how the "Sylar" actor will make out as the new Mr Spock. Talk about big shoes to fill! He *is* a good actor, but it may cripple him.
