TV Production Company in need of Mint Condition Spectrum

edited April 2009 in Wanted
If anyone has a mint condition working rubber key 48K Spectrum (or extremely good condition) which they would be willing to hire out to a TV production company, I have been approached by someone making a program on old technology for the National Geographic Channel

Contact me asap with details and I can pass on their contact.

It needs to be working, so I guess they will need a tape recorder etc...

Andy Spencer's been collecting Speccy stuff for a long time for a Retro Museum so I would have thought he could supply something.
I've not seen him recently on the WOS forum but you can get him at:

My old rubber-key Spectrum is still working (after being boxed up for years) but I'll need to test it with a cassette player - I've just (literally a few hours ago) found a box with my old tape recorders in. I'll need to test that they (or one of them) still work. I've got plenty of Speccy software but, again, not sure what condition they're in.

I'll try and run some tests this weekend and let you know ....

    I have mint boxed one.
    Would probably lend .

I've got a couple of untested cassette players as well but don't if they work.

We have already managed to source one and put them in contact with the TV production company - however, they wanted it for Monday, so unless someone is in London and can drop it off, they appear to have made other arrangements!
