Your computer rooms, shrines and such.

Just over a year ago, the wife suggested I move all my computery bits into the largest room in the house. Only recently have I made some progress in getting lots of it together so that it can all be displayed nicely. Still a long, long way to go yet, but here's the progress so far...

Need to add shelves under the ones you see there to take the double cassette cases. They should be ready in about a month. More piccies then.

It's been a lil while since the last thread like this, so where's all your good gubbins kept these days... Photos please!

I see you have the Way Of The Tiger game books too!! :D

My retro stuff is neatly packed away, either in cupboards or in the loft. All I have currently set up and ready to go are my PS2, XBox original and XBox 360. All my Speccy, Nintendo and Amiga gaming is done via emulation.

Yes, am a very big fan of Mark Smith and Jamie Thomson. One of the other Wossers knows them, I think. Would love to add Falcon: Renegade Lord and Way of the Tiger figures to my list of things to sculpt! Glad you like pics. :)

I have loads of their books as well....Remember Duelmaster? That was their 2 player gamebook series....which was great if you could find someone else who would sit with you long enough in silence, reading a book until you "met" each other and had a massive fight...

...and back on topic, once I get a decent camera, I'll stick some pics up of my set-up....

i like to keep my set up spread across my entire house. give a burgular a hard job. :D

if i did have a computer room with lots of fancy kit, id prolly put a lock on the door, and a fire door at that. i'd prolly get home insurance too. :-)

You lucky bleeder. All my Spectrum and other retro computer stuff is still at my parents house, slowly degrading in the loft. Very nice set up you have there.

Thats so neat and tidy, but you cant tell me that all those computers are wired up and ready to go are they?

I'll show my den maybe a bit later.

Almost all of em! :) I keep all the power supplies and ariels tucked away out of sight, with the strip-blocks ready to hand. Plug in and go! Just need to get another telly for the 3DO / CD32 etc.

Lol! That's brilliant. It's only a photo, yet how on earth did you manage to peel off the black cellophane I'd stuck to the tv?

All mine are under my bed or in the attic at my ma's house in England :(

Most of them in boxes surrounded by paper and then a binbag.

My Speccy's in the attic cos' the PSU blew on it so I can't use it, most of the games are in the same place but for some reason I kept my fave budget games in a small wooden box my grandad made for audio tapes. which is still downstairs. I happen to know for a fact it has at least 1 Dizzy game in there, Caves of Doom, Jasons Gem, Streetfighter (I kept that out as it's the last Speccy game I ever went and bought). I also have a mountain of commode games down there, even though I've never owned a breadbox (got them given by an old friend of mine years ago). Plus 2 boxes with a Saturn in em' 1 working, 1 dismantled, A box with a broken Dreamcast (was fine until about 3 weeks before I moved to the US), 2 PSX units 1 Mk1 with failed CD drive, 1 Mk2 which works better than any other PS1 I've encountered. 1 SNES, and in the Spare room I have a Megadrive with a Master System converter. There are several other boxes containing bits and bobs and games for all the above. Oh I have a load of mags in the attic as well.

I've pretty much posted up my collection I've built up here in the US in 2 whopping pics. It's quite unimpressive.

    Here they are

I keep most of my collection in emulated format right here :D

and here's the rest of it :D

I fortunately live in a 4 bedroom Victorian terrace so we have plenty of room so in the attic have a separate gaming and computer room and the next bank holiday week is booked off to empty, paint and re-arrange my computer room.

My gaming room after a similar redecoration last year looks like this

They're my wifes, I don't use the snotrags in here cos' she gets the ones with the lotion on.

Makes my hands and my nose feel greasy.

....so imagine how unpleasant it would make my knob feel :D

I thought if anything you'd have commented on the second pic, if you look at the bottom left corner there is a white basket and in that basket you can partially see a pair of my dirty kex, and a sweaty work T-shirt
