Bronx teen confesses to roasting kitten

A Bronx teenager roasted her ex-roommate's kitten to death in a stove - then brushed off the incident as a joke when she was busted, authorities said Thursday.

"I hate cats," Cheyenne Cherry, 17, allegedly told investigators when asked about the heartless crime.

[...] Cherry told authorities that she and her accomplice "thought we would play a joke on Valerie and mess up her apartment."

[...] the kitten was burned so badly a necropsy had to be performed to determine its sex.

Jokes are not slashing the furniture with a knife, or splashing bleach on the walls, or breaking and entering, or cooking the cat.

    i'd love to show some sympathy but there are those here who will call me a hypocrite because i eat meat.

    That's just evil, anyone capable of that isn't safe to be let out. Of course, we don't give real, life long imprisonment to even serial child murderers, so no doubt that worthless bitch won't be too discomforted by the our legal processes.

    Nice to see she was punished appropriately after being charged with several made up on the spot charges. God no! The pain and suffering she will suffer too, by being released into the "Custody" of her mother.

    Hopefully some gangster, from her neighbourhood will break a bottle on her fanny, and ran a knife up her arse. Then she may feel a small amount of pain that the cat felt.

    I think you live in the U.K., right? That girl in the story is in the U.S.

    As for this story, I agree with you. In fact when I read that she did it to "play a joke" I couldn't help it but the phrase "an eye for an eye" came to mind ... wonder if she could warm up (pun intended) to such a joke if it was played on herself.
