This comment from yesterday nearly annoyed me as Parky was annoyed today but then I reminded myself that context/tone can be hard to 'get' in a forum.
You mean, referring to presumed Japanese developers as 'yellow', or confusing the Chinese (the usual target of that particular prejudice) with the Japanese? Or maybe just assuming the game was invented by LEGO men? I must admit, I did think that comment was a tad inappropriate.

I read it (the Parky comment) and failed to understand it!
Courts do make mistakes. And on the evidence that was given I would have found him guilty.
I remember something that was said during/after the trial. The court were told by the Judge only to find him guilty if there's absolute difinitive proof of something happening. There obviously were things going on (according to one of the jurors), but there wasn't any actual proof it was mainly just their word against his so they found him not guilty.
One of the jurors said that much in an interview after the case, unfortunately I can't find any proof of that revelation.
Absolutely agree. And as my mate (a father) said, whether Jackson is innocent or guilty, the parents of the children are definatley guilty of behaving in an unfit way by letting their kids stay with Jackson. I mean, whether Jackson was a saint or a paedophile, the parents didn't know him well enough to judge, and no decent parent would leave their kids with anyone who they didn't know and trust. There are lots of people I've never met who I admire for one reason or another (authors, scientists, even some comedians) but if I had a child then I'd NEVER let any of them spend time alone with my child if I didn't know that person very well.
Couldn't agree more. They probably thought it was fine because they could say that they were friends with The King Of Pop. They didn't think after that.
Oh and was it you that said that he was found innocent and got away with things because he was rich? I think he was already in massive debt at those times, so it was his fame that helped him, not his (lack of) money ;)
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

What's offensive about saying that you read an article where Michael Jackson is described as a white person?
He who said it didn't write the article nor stated an discrimination in his words.
He is a liberal: what do you expect? He probably wares glasses and has a full beard too. Also, he probably does not mind anti-white, anti-European, anti-English, anti-freedom, anti-democratic, anti-Christian, anti-Catholic comments.

Good old brain-washed liberals.
I'm white, wear glasses and have a beard! Parky confuses me as he makes scathing allegations and then refuses to back them up even after being asked to (debate, not argue) by multiple people.
I'm white wear glasses and have a beard, but not a full beard that just wouldn't suit me....ever.
I get Limey and Brit jibes here in the US all the time, but they're from white and black americans who I've gotten to know, and I can throw a few stereotypes back at them, and it's all friendly banter and nobody crosses the line.
I don't go off on a tangeant pulling the race card out cos' an American called me a crusty brit, I shrug it off and say something back like shut up you stupid yank.

I don't care much about controversy and Wacko anymore - too hard to tell what's true and what's not.
One thing for sure though - he's left a lasting memory in most peoples minds for whatever reason. I remember his Jackson5 stuff before anything else so that's all good memories.......

Yup! My missus just turned the TV off, about 5 mins ago because it's all that's been on TV since TMZ streamed it live an hour or so ago.
That and footage of various other related Jacko crap.
Just like all the other dead celebs who I don't know and don't care about, he's dead, life goes on.
Maybe if I'd known him personally I'd be affected in some way but I didn't therefore I don't really care, and I don't want to watch months worth of Moonwalker and music videos, with some newscaster who was so ready to point the finger at him when he was on trial for beasting young un's suddenly going on about how tragic it is, and how great he was.
At the end of the day he was just another person (or at least about 25% person 75% inorganic materials :D).

to be fair, he wasn't just another person. just another person don't sell 750m records.
It's OTT (the coverage) but only relative to the 24 hour stations which have to fill the air time with something.
There are current 15 different channels on Sky doing MJ tributes as I type this...

He does if he gets famous, my point was actually I didn't know him, therefore regardless of his fame he was just another person to me. Now he's dead, it will have no effect on my actual life or yours in the reality of it all.
I'd be more sympathetic if it wasn't for the media glorifying him now, when less than a year ago they were mocking him.
Same old same old, the media can make a wonderful person out of any celebrity when they're dead weither they're dumb, talentless, or a kiddy fiddler. Usually after they've been the ones who slated them at the height of their bad times.
Like somebody else said I wonder if when Gary Glitter dies, thy'll commend him for his musical talent and entertainment value, even though he was a kid fucking scumbag who raped a 12 year old thai girl and paid her family off with 3 months worth of wages because he knew they couldn't afford to take him to court.

That's a fib, he wasn't a kid then ... but he did teach them how to shuffle along like an old man (that he is) ... Moonwalk? It's just karingal going backwards.

I'm just hoping I have an extra guy or two. And I don't fall foul of an infinite death bug....
He's done an Elvis! He's not really Dead!!!!
Oh please shut up you silly white liberal (the second most anti-white people on earth).
You are a pathetic liberal and it's because of weak-willed people like you that other people feel bad when they've done nothing wrong.

Beat It and Thriller will always be among my fave songs ever.....ooh, and Smooth Criminal.....
And yeah, RIP Farrah as well......
I was lucky enough to se him at Wembley in 1988. Still rate that as the best concert I've been to.
Love him or hate him, he was a (flawed) genius.

MJ could move and he did some iconic dances. but these guys shaped how dance was used in film.
of course they can easily be forgotton as they didn't appear on top of the pops when we were kids. ;-)
