Yes, they are happy days indeed. My recent (early last year I think) completion of Bugaboo was such a momentous occasion, that I went to see my mum and dad to tell them. Mum was especially happy, as she'd been worried about that poor flea since we bought the game in 1983. I may give cracking Skool Daze a go later on in the year. Valhalla is on my list too.
Unfortunately, I've never even completed the first Skool Daze. It wasn't till relatively recently I knew what you were supposed to do, back in the 80s, my copy of Skool Daze was on a C90 tape with no instructions :-) I found out you could break the shields, and get letters out of the teachers (which I guessed were for the safe) but never knew the bit about Mr. Creak.
Recently I *almost* completed it, but got 10,000 lines with one shield remaining!
Your spot on , great " last " bit , ive started it again on impossible mode , it lives up to its name , can't get past the 2nd level.
Ok ... for those of us who will never play the game (probably) and don't care if you give away the ending (no, really, I don't care) ... please tell us the ending via the [noparse]
well , youv'e just had the mother of all battles against a giant kraken type thing , shot its eyes off , killed it and escaped to your craft - then - - - you sure you want to know ??

Spoiler:
the first letter of each chapter, makes a sentance :-)
tbh znorx, it would be like explaing the ending of the 6th sense to someone, it's not as powerfull as watching it all the way through.
of course the game ending has nothing to do with issac being a ghost, and it isn't a twist ending.
the ending is more like this film i saw about these potholers, but i forget the name of that film. so i went with the sixth sense.
it's not something that ties the story up or anything or something really interesting, its just makes you jump, which wont make you jump if someone writes it.
and writting the chapter sentance will make no sense to you at all.
@mile:
Ok, fair enough ... I get your Sixth Sense analogy ... plus that just makes it more interesting to play ... if I ever do get to play it, that is.
I seem to keep re-playing Back To Skool for some reason. Just finished it with only 300 lines on the clock, and when you loop back to the beginning, you can kiss Hayley again, so in theory I could loop 33 times if I so wanted.

A fairly generic Sci-Fi ending although the "very last" bit caught me out and got my heart going!!!
awesome ending. better than any hollywood film.
never finished skooldaze, one day though.
i enjoyed finishing dizzy, the boss was a nightmare though, couldn't have done it without save states.

Oh, wait ...
or was I?
I like the little Engilsh boys.
I think they are so cute.
Just watched the ending on Youtube...talk about 'Crysis' rippoff!
hardly thought up by them though, i've seen that sort of ending in many horror films.
I could, you know.
