Probably Mr. Cheese seemed to enjoy himself.

I've always wanted to go to one of these retro shows, but most of my mates thought I was mental for playing those "Shite auld games" all the time

So none of them would've came with me, sure enough I know a load of peeps on here now, so I'd have had somebody to lurk around with. So if I still lived in England I'd definitely have been there 100% guarenteed.

it's not over yet - is it? i had to check because i knew it was close. i looked into getting flights and stuff, but not being a socialite was the deciding factor. i loved some of those old games and still get a kick out of playing them on and off. so i would've enjoyed looking at others having a go over the weekend.

    yup it was great.

Miles was very very drunk, tempted to nick the divide off the +2 . Winstons Spectranet is quite impressive. I spent most of my time arsing around and never played a single game although I did get Martyn Carrol to sign my retro gamer issue 1.

    I had a good laff

you should have come and you wouldn't have been the only geordie, there were a couple of young fellas who won a paperboy arcade machine and then reliased it wouldn't fit into their car.

was great meeting everyone, all the wos people all hung around together for a time so it was great having a laugh and gossing about others on the forum.

@binman did you stay the night or did you end up driving home?

oh and it was worth it just to see mr cheese's epic beard. ;)

Left for home at about 8:30 got back at 10:30.

I'd had an argument on the fone with my dad all stemmed from the fact that my sister is going on holiday with em and they were being arsey because we hadn't got any cards for them to take with em.

Wouldn't mind but I didn't even know she was going until they dropped of the keys at my house. Got hame went out to find some cards and eventually dropped em off at midnight cause they were going on holiday at 2am!!

It was good to meet all of you I met at Retro Reunited, good show, I'm really glad I could make it. I think Mile's performance on Rock Band was superb :-) (Actually, the best Rock Band moment was the last "set" of the show when a whole bunch of people joined in singing one of the Beatles songs...good times!)

Also the first time I've seen a room filled with BBC Micros since leaving school. It's funny, just like "back in the day", the Beeb guys seemed ever so slightly more serious than everyone else. In our room there was sort of "anarchy", but in the Beeb room it was sort of slightly refined :-) Probably why they had all the talks and presentations in that room!

I also got to fondle a Vectrex for the first time ever. What a machine!

I'll probably upload some photos some time today.

    I learned the following things:

Winston does not look like his avatar.
Mile head is flat at the back
psj hates having his picture taken
Archer Maclean likes to make jokes (and his new game looks fab!)

I got Darren Jones to sign the latest edition of Retro Gamer, presumably that makes it work much less?!? He also decided to copy me by wearing the same t-shirt (well, not the actual same one, that would be weird).

It was a fantastic day and I enjoyed it a lot, as did Mrs Cheese and the Small Cheeses.
