Top marks for even turning up on sunday (briefly) to get your Speccy, thought you would have been nursing the hangover of hangovers.

You wait till i upload those videos ! You were well getting into those songs, very amusing !

Anyway was a great laugh. Good to see you again Miles

That Divide gadget was amazing, for some reason never read much about it here. Very tempted to try and get one, superb device.

Damn! I'd have quite liked to see that...

I had the black "Avengers" tee on...short fellow with glasses (yet extremely good-looking ).

The trouble was I was a bit drunk...and I had difficulty seeing peoples nicks on their badges. Truth be told, I'm only just recovering from the firewater now!!

The only reason I noticed Mile was because the missus and me were playing on the system on that big screen near where they had Rock band on...heard some tool screaming away and dancing like a muppet, as he was coming off I just managed to catch his name on his tag and thought "Ah! Mile...makes sense!"

I spoke to psj3809, Mile and Winston for a while...before Mile crashed the wedding disco that was going on downstairs!!

    Briefly met jdanddiet as well...

There's going to be a next time !???!!!!!??? Sweet my chances of turning up at one become larger, I'll be on the triple vodka and vodkas at 11:00am.

get them vids of Yorkie boy mortal and singing up quickly, I need to laugh at him post haste (Nee offence Milesy but I have to see that ) ;)

Maybe if this becomes a regular or yearly thing I really do have a chance of getting to one one day, if my liver lasts long enough to get me to one of em' (just realised I've been pissed every day bar 1 for the last 3 weeks, yowser, and I'm off work tonight so today is no exception). I'm gonna knock the boozing on the head for a while maybe until october after next weekend though, going to one of my mates stag does. October is his wedding so I'll be bladdered and probably electric sliding my way across the dancefloor and ruining the bride and grooms first dance

    Speccy forever woohoo!
    Every night is curry night!

I was supposed to be going to Pittsburgh for my mates wedding in October, but his partner forgot to fill in a K1? form something like that anyway. So the wedding off untill the spring cause it takes a good while for it to be processed.

Yep a K1 fiancee visa, that's what I came over here on, it's a big fucking slavver on, that's for sure, took me about 2 years to get all the paperwork on the England side, and the money to do it. Trips back and forth to London to the embassy and wotnot.

Bloody annoying but worth it in the long run :D

I'll do that tomorrow, tonights NFL ! ;)

Got a few of the wedding crashers on the dancefloor, like i say Miles doing some great singing, me doing a terrible impression of singing until Miles in his excitement pulled out the guitar lead.

Honestly saturday was very amusing. Hope your liver is feeling better miles !

Nah, I got there at 11:30am. It was only late on that I managed to notice some name tags. In fact if I hadn't just happened to look around when you came of the Rock Band stage, I probably wouldn't have even been able to read your badge, I was fairly hammered!

It was pretty cool yeah. I reckon there should be 1 there every year IMO. I'd defo do another one...

Have PMed the 'Speccy band' of Miles/Me/Andrew and Winston, i've uploaded the videos so you can have a look at them first.

I think we're so bad its actually good ! I never want to see a perfect singer on these games, the best ones are the poor ones and you'll see what i mean from the videos !

Classic quote was while i was filming Andrew Rollings singing Duran Duran, you can hear Miles say 'I could do better than that.....' . The evidence is there to see !

I think the best Rock Band moment was the final Beatles one of the night on Saturday, where loads of people pitched in to sing. I was hoping for an encore, but we'd already overrun by 25 minutes from the official closing time! It's funny, when you get enough bad singers together, there's a sufficient number who are slightly sharp and slightly flat to sort of average out and carry the actual tune :-)

Yeah missed that, would have been good to film.

The Cheese family had to go at half 5, so I missed the drunken Beatles yodelling  - did it turn into some sort of Tom Waits song?. Never mind. I lent Winston my divIDE+ on the promise that he would not release the magic smoke from it. This might mean that the Spectranet and divIDE+ will play together but I imagine Winston will go on about the amount of gates left on the chip and port decoding and holding A15 high at the correct time so they may or may not be able to play together. The Seectranet does work with the regular divIDE. I can see it now, playing on an emulator, saving a snapshot to a mounted filesystem, loading it into an emulator, playing it, saving and reloading on your real spectrum - fantastic! Well, maybe one day hehe.

Contrags once again to SirClive and the others for organising a fab event. All the Cheeses enjoyed it. I've got some pics but no place to host em (hint hint).

aye, top lad too. only spoke to him for a few mins as people were all trying to talk to him, but he was really freindly, and a spit of frank skinner. :p

    my fave moments were

the power going off, and loads of people doing the 'put 50p in the meter' joke.

the spectranet was great too, even if i asked 'so what does it do then' about 20 times.

listening to binman telling us about his days in the industry.

    finally meeting steam :-P

and the best bit overall was getting home and powering up the +2 i bought of a nice fella from retrogamer. haven't played one in 20 years.

Oh yes, and not one but TWO people *completed* Janey Thompson's Marathon. The guy on Sunday beat the guy on Saturday by a good 40 minutes or so. Immediately on completion he had to sprint for the bogs because he'd been dying for the loo for the last hour and a half :-) I think his eventual time was 2hrs 15 mins or something like that. It takes real dedication to play this game all the way through. And insanity...

Yeah, it was Mohicankid who won that, more info here http://www.retrogamer.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14176&start=705 he also did the lucky dip, of which we had 3 goes and got a psx game, a DC game and an Amiga game. Lucky I've got all 3 systems so it's all good.

Ha, that was when I commandered the mic. Think we did I am the Walrus and a couple of others. I chucked everyone out at about 12.30 and at 1am 5 of us went into Huddersfield (Tokyo's?) and got in at 5. Then I was up again 8 getting more stuff ready. Totally knackered now (as we were in the bar until 3.30 last night too), reckon I could sleep until TRhursday.
