The TV previews look pretty good. Looking forward to this one.

Apparently it's based on a short-story movie from a few years back ... never saw that one though.

    Ahh, I missed that.

    I often enjoy the previews more than the movies ... that is if the previews/trailers are well made. They have to work like a short-story to capture your interest and in this case District 9 is doing a good job ... at least the TV trailers I've seen sparked interest in me.

    Well I just saw and I thought it was brilliant! Not the typical sci-fi movie you'd expect but quite good just the same.

    Saw it last week, good film but the wife got the twist in the storey quite early on.

    I just hope they don't try to make a sequel entitled "3 years later"

    Yeah, I totally agree. This is a brilliant movie, but it really wouldn't benefit from a sequel. Well worth a trip to the cinema to see it.

    Saw it about a week ago.

    Loved it.

    The sound was a bit off sometimes, but that was maybe just our cinema being shit.
    Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.

    Yeah good film, surprised me really but i thought the effects were good for the aliens, gave it a right early 90's feel like the poster above said with Starship Troopers/Robocop.

    The wife hated it but i thought it was pretty good
