Dont get the hate for Russell Brand ! Find him very funny, liked his shows on Ch4 where hes talking about the Speccy/old skool games.

I've downloaded a ton of his radio shows and find them excellent to listen to. Very clever bloke and comes up with a great lot of jokes.

I'm not bothered by the stories of him in the tabloids all the time as sh*gger of the year etc. To be fair if i was in his position i would be doing exactly the same.

Again rubberkeys thoughts on him, a bit OTT to say the least ! Not saying everyone should like him but dont understand why people would hate him so much.

I used to find Russell Brand funny...I still do find his stand-up comedy DVDs very funny.

The trouble is that his comedy pirate routine has worn very thin.

Sometimes he does come out with some hilarious turns of phrase though.

If you met someone famous what would you ask them?

Depends on the circumstances. I asked John Craven what brought him to Drumlithie. I asked Susan Sarandon why cuts to the Division of AIDS Services were a bad thing.

It is quite scary that many people seem to think the character/actor/comedian they see on TV will be exactly the same if they ever met him. You always hear about some old granny hitting an actor who plays a soap character over the head with her bag thinking theyre as evil in real life as they are in the pretend soap.

Thats why i'm surprised by a lot of the hatred, even if you dont like Russell Brand its just an act, if you met him in real life you 'may' be surprised (granted you might not be) but who knows. I wouldnt think many of these people are the same as their TV/film personality.

I cant stand boybands at all but i wouldnt try to punch one of them if i saw him in a street or down the pub. I hate their music, not really the people themselves
