Had the pleasure of meeting him and Mrs. THX1138 this morning. Very nice couple..

Contrary to what people say, THX1138 DOES ride a motorbike.

    Is that a euphemism?

Just thought I'd report on a good meeting. He said some people on here thinks he doesn't ride a motorbike.

I was of the impression that he rode a scooter...

Yeah met THX at one of the retro shows a year or two back in the Midlands. Was good to meet him.

Hope more WOSsers attend the next big retro gathering which is in Sheffield probably April time.

The WOSsers i met at the last retro show were a right good bunch, hope to meet them (and others) at the next one.

I wouldnt worry, when you have Miles around drinking a bottle of vodka you could have been walking round with your trousers round your ankles all night and you wouldnt have topped Miles and his rock n roll performance !

Looking forward to seeing the young lad in Sheffield next time for the next show

you never know I may have a new Trooper demo ready

the level design is getting on my t*ts in the respect that I can't get it started

I actually believed that THX rode a motorbike, since it's pretty much all he talks about, I mean what would be the point of coming on here and rambling about bikes if you didn't ride them?

    I'm just being awkward :D

Anyway yeah, I met Zeropolis briefly this morning, couldn't stop long but nice to put a face to a name all the same.

Are you going to R.C.M event in November PSJ? I'm going, and hopefully taking a few retro items along too

lol, who doesn't believe he rides a bike?

fair enough if he said he drove a f1 car to the shops, but he posts pics of his bikes.

Yeah, well ... just because Gruber calls it "my little tank" doesn't mean it's actually his...

He's making the whole thing up ... THX doesn't really ride a bike, now does he

Hey, I have a bike, too. If you live in the Isle of Man it's pretty much obligatory though :-)

    The next few events...

    http://www.retrocomputermuseum.co.uk/

?6.50 on the door, about 75-150 people, its held near Leicester, a ton of retro computers to see and a lot of people from past shows.

Theres a list of upcoming shows here...

Retrovision in Oxford, also for me Retro Rewind in Sheffield sometime in April should be the next biggie after the success of the Huddersfield one.

The Retro Computer one i've heard good things about, sadly for me the timings not quite right. But its quite near-ish to you Binman ?

Is Retro Rewind being done by the same people behind Retro Reunited?

Slightly different but it would be very similar. Boyo (From the RG forums) did the original retro shows, Witchfinder (RG again) then wanted to do a similar show in Stoke which was very good, then the September show SirClive (Gordon from the RG forums) did a similar one in Huddersfield, now SScott wants to do one in Sheffield.

Hes been getting advice from all the above I believe, got the venue sorted so its all happening.

So a quick reply would be 'kinda yeah' !

    Seriously it should be good

someone be my secretary and remind me about these Oxford gigs just before they happen, I'm always riding past Oxford, but never see the posts about them until after they have happened, thanks.

The WoS Calendar ... come on people! It's been there for ages!!!

It's on the blue bar toward the top of the forum ... near the centre, between Community and New Posts ... click it ... then in the lower right corner you have options.

    Report back.
