As i married a northerner (i do apologise) its my turn to have Xmas down south, cant wait ! Spent xmas up north two years ago, then her best mate got married at xmas the year after so stayed up again (when it was the south's turn !).

Whatever happens, even if another mate gets married or anything, i'm off down south for xmas 100%.

Not keen on xmas dinner but do like the whole atmosphere and seeing friends/family etc. There'll be nothing on the box (NOT a dr who fan at all) but hopefully there'll be just one decent thing on.

Realised a fair few years ago Xmas wasnt the same present wise, shame ! Does bring back the memories of those amazing Xmas's though in the 80's where it seemed you had endless presents.

they just seemed endless, you wouldn't be happy if your wife got you a tangerine, a bag of nuts, a pen, a drawing pad, a pencil case, a key ring and a muscle man.

wheres my fecking ipod nano woman!!!

Well i hardly get anything from my parents, dont mind at all as i'm not some 12 year old kid but xmas obviously brings back those memories. The wife does very well with presents, last year i said 'surprise me' and she got me a Wii which i must admit i wasnt keen on, played it for a few months but didnt do anything for me.

So no more surprises ! Even if its socks/pants etc i dont mind !

ive run out of presents to get the gf now.

ive bought her a DS, a camera, a mobile, a watch. there really isn't anything else, was gonig to get her a lappy for chrimbo but she went out and bought one.

i might go and get her some stuff from ann summers, maybe get something a couple fo dress sizes too small so she has to loose a bit of weight to fit into it. (pretend i lost the reciept)

You think that's bad I got my missus 21 pressies for her 21st, the first few were crap then they got better. The last one which was obviously the best one cost the majority of the cash, an engagement ring.

I'd like to say she was surprised but I think she had me sussed.

So I am a bit of a romantic I guess, or an idiot who had more money than sense at the time

Get her a ring for chrimbo milesy....free Visa to Canada ;)

Well I was 26 at the time, and I knew she wanted to get hitched so I figured maybe it was the right time, and obviously it was.

I secretly made a book full of 12 intricate paintings (done by me), got it professionally bound, and gave it to my (now ex) girlfriend on the aniversary of our 1st date.

It must have been sh*t - because she run off with someone else! And she's still got the f*cking book!

All I want for christmas is a new BASS guitar, my circa 1978 Jedson has finally become very old and sick ( Pine Flue probably ).

I`ve only gone and bought one now, I was toying with a Tanglewood, but eventually went for a Shine. Now I have nothing to look forward to, oh woe is me, Christmas, bah humbug !
