    Firefox

If you just want to transfer the bookmarks see

    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+and+restoring+bookmarks

If you want to transefer everything (stored passwords, bookmarks, history etc) then see

Not really, just nobody cares about it.

Just go to microsoft support and search there, it will give the best method for your version of IE and particular operating system.

    firefox keeps the profile in:
    C:\documents and settings\your account name\application data\mozilla\firefox\profiles
so it's as simple as copying your profile folder to the new PC (and editing the profiles.ini on the new PC)

internet exploder seems to spread it's profile settings all over everywhere so good luck with that. I presume there must be some sort of export tool available somewhere

Can't you get FireFox to steal all the Internet Explorer bookmarks?
