Desk Top Publishing software
I used to run a cool DTP package on my +3 but I can't remember what it was. It had a word processor, a layout and some kind of image software and you could lay out your pages in columns with different typefaces.
can anyone remember it? I'd love to try it out again!

and search for "Tasman"... IF it was a +3 disk
That's got to be it. I had a version modified for the ts2068 by a reseller from California (Jack Dohany, who also further developed MSCRIPT, he was one of the few Timex developers who did some good work). RAM was treated as a RAMdisk and you could load up the word processor, layout editor (typeliner) or graphics package optionally into that RAMdisk. Raw text, fonts or graphics could also be loaded in with typeliner used to assemble the lot into a final document. It was exactly the right approach to take. The word processior and graphics package weren't the best things available so I would normally use MSCRIPT to edit text that I would later import into typeliner. But typeliner and the quality of output was fantastic. I was using this into my university days and always had better quality results than the students using their PCs. When laser printers became common, that all changed though.
