I've got a bit of Mortiis on at the moment. The Stargate is the one that's on at the moment, but I prefer Crypt of the Wizzard from his "dungeon music" era. I just thought I'd give The Stargate another go ;)
I think I've only heard Crypt and Stargate from era1. Smell of Rain is my fave. Especially Marshland and Monolith. Shame era2 only lasted one album!
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

    dont look at me

    oh ok, i have

    northern lights demo
    supernova (bootleg)
    zen arcade (complete outtakes)
up in the air (studio outakes)
and lyndales burning (1985 bootleg) - live i think

Oop! cheers Mel you know me don't you

If you post the names you know I can usually find them myself ;)

....I have decided that Bob Moulds solo stuff is arse though, his pre-sugar solo stuff is bad, but his post-sugar solo stuff is worse. They Play "I'm Sorry Baby" at work all the time, along with several other generic american "rock tunes". Hard to believe he was once a member of a hardcore band?

Oh and as for Greg Norton, I don't think he did any solo stuff after Husker Du, but he was in another band, and he still has the Victorian Dad tash as far as I can tell

mostly with you on that, except there were couple of tracks on his first 2 albums after sugar that I like quite a lot, 'classifieds' is probably the best

It was supposed to be Irony !

You wouldn`t say that if you had met her, I did once and got a kiss from her, a real proper one, I have never met anyone with her magical quality, she is one special Lady !

I know. I was joking too. (thought it was obvious :) ). I love Kate Bush. She's probably the greatest singer of all time. :)

Indeed. It's a shame that she's hasn't done more albums. 8 albums in 30 years is a bit disappointing. But then it really makes you appreciate her non-conformity when she does release one.

I'm sure I saw them at High Wycombe Town Hall in about 1982. Seem to remember a large flour fight onstage...

In the early 80s, King Kurt were known for their stage performances in which eggs and bags of flour were thrown around and buckets of wallpaper paste dumped into the audience. sometimes they also had a large wheel on stage called "The Wheel of Misfortune" which fans were strapped to and force fed Snakebite through a tube pushed down into the throat, then spun round until they vomitted. Fans could also get haircuts or medical examinations with a Snakebite anesthetic, then would have their scrotums wrapped up with gaffa tape and have buckets of gunge tipped over them.

That all sounds vaguely familar, I'd never heard of them and only went cos there was a spare ticket going and fancied one of the girls that was going (she married an RAF officer).

    Such is life...
