The adventure game was pretty cool (gotta love those BBC Model B graphics) and Tomorrows World was good before it turned into a childrens show.

Does anyone remember Captain Zep - Super Space Detective?

 at the "hello" face at 1:06.

Great clip that. I'll need to add The Goodies to my wishlist.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

I remember the Adventure Game vaguely. Wasn't it a kind of early version of Knightmare for adults? I think it used to have celebs on it but i may be wrong.

It was quite good. They had a vaporiser, and it made evaporated milk once.

For me the main tv show I'd like repeated it 'the Goodies' (Bill Oddie ... and ummm some other comics) - My Dad reckoned it was one of the best comedy shows on the BBC when it came out. But for some reason it doesn't get reshown in the UK so I've never seen it.

The Goodies was shown on GOLD last year IIRC.

Network 7. Used to love watching that on a Sunday morning.

    Dick Spanner was brilliant.:D

If anything, I'd like them to repeat (again) The Time Tunnel. OK, the effects were pretty crap, but the idea was pretty good.

I wish they'd re-show Knightmare on one of the freeview channels. It was completely of its time and a fascinating, entertaining watch and as adults we can all enjoy Hugo Myatt's utterly shameless hamming.

Ditto Trap Door. Most fondly-remembered childrens' shows aren't so good in adulthood but this one breaks the mould and the claymation animation was fantastic.

I've got this one on DVD so it's more for the sake of wider appeal but Sapphire and Steel could do with another showing. It's one of the most haunting, weird, intelligent and thought-provoking drama series British TV has produced and has aged surprisingly well. It's astonishing to think it was largely made for kids; I'm 32 and I was scratching my head at the end of the last episode of "Assignment One".

It is available on DVD you know, I have it somewhere here, I got it from E-bay, it is the complete two series, with some extras, including the banned version of one episode.

I`ve just checked and there are still several people on there selling it at about ?12.50

Chocky used to freak me out a bit.

And yeah - The Adventure Game was a forerunner to the Crystal Maze - and folk of the TV were on it.

There was a weird shaking plant called Uncle

The other Goodies were Graham Garden and Tim Brooke-Taylor. They did a reunion show on the BBC a few years ago. They're all getting on a bit now.
Didn't the Goodies run for something like 10 years? I remember it was on for ages. It also moved to ITV i think.

Yeah. It switched from BBC to ITV and back again I think. It was shown for a number of years and there are a couple of "best of" DVD's out there and they are still very, very funny

On a side note, I saw Bill Oddie and probably his Gandkids(? I dunno, but he was with a couple of young kids) at Chessington World of Adventure several years back. I'm also going to see the other two Goodies in about 3 weeks when "I'm Sorry I Havn't Got A Clue" comes here to record a few episodes for Radio 4, along with Jo Brand (I'm not fussed with her as I don't find her that funny) and Jack Dee presenting. Not bad for a fiver :D

Great series by the creator of Only Fools and Horses, which was cut short when Ralph Bates (who played John) died aged 51.

Still waiting for them to release this on DVD...

As someone already said. Check out the thebox. I recently watched this for the first time since it aired. And it is still really funny.

Wasn't there a programme on in the early 90's (i think it was hosted by Annabelle Croft) called 'Interceptor'? It involved teams of people running around getting clues to find a prize (or something). I remember there was a baddie who would fly around in a helicoptor (that might be wrong as well, it was a long time ago). It was a bit like Treasure Hunt.

Yep - you remember it right! It was repeated on one of the sat/cable channels a couple of years ago.

Yeah, that was on challenge in the mornings just a few months ago. Was really shit. The Interceptor was possibly the inspiration behind The Matrix though!

I've missed that this year. No reason to watch terrestrial now (except for Top Gear and F1).

That Dear Green Place (or whatever it was) was a massive disappointment. It showed some bits of humour, but maybe only about 1% compared to Still Game.

What about 'Never the twain'?. It starred Donald Sinden and Windsor Davis as two rival antique dealers. It was very funny at the time but i'm not sure if it has stood the test of time. I haven't seen it since it was originally broadcast. I think it was on ITV.
I also saw 'Home to Roost' recently and it had dated badly. Maybe some things are left in the past.
