Well, thanks to Your Sinclair, we already have things like 'Wibble', 'Yikes!' and 'You basts', so what others would you like get into everyday English.

I like this one:

'For the love of Clive!' - an exclamation of frustration.

    Did the word "fnar!" originate from Your Sinclair? It was certainly the first place I'd read it (or I might be imagining it, or something)...

    I think it was originally used in Viz and YS 'borrowed it'. :)

    I actually do call chutney Chuntey, and I regularly denience things :D

    Or '&**%&%^%^*^(*^%^&% F*** B******* W***** &*^*^&$%^$&^(&&(&^%^$^%?^%$&^', usually used when dying repeatedly in JSW's Forgotten Abbey, but can be applied to other situations too e.g. Underwurlde. :)

    It would usually follow something slightly rude or something with naughty double meanings. For example: "this game made me waggle my joystick furiously (fnar!)".

    Something like that, anyway...

    'F-NARR! F-NARR!' is an exclaimation made popular by a character called 'Finbarr Saunders' in British adult comic 'Viz'. Used immediately after hearing someone crack a double entendr? for optimal impact.

    Viz back in its heyday was superb, Finbarr Saunders was very very funny.

    I added to my sig as it was such an outrageous and arrogant thing to say, like he thinks he his a God with 2 sides to every argument "I'm right and your wrong".

    'Wibble', 'hatstand' etc. were from Viz - 'Roger Irrelevant' to be precise. Didn't YS give away a free copy of Viz in which most of these phrases all appeared? As for 'Yikes!', that was hardly originally theirs.
