    Word of the day - Jowspam!

    He seems to have gone quite mental today - didn't take too well to being quarantined, so I got even more junk.

    Just want to find out more about the nutter whos being a constant constant pain. I hate spam email and enjoy trying to find the culprit.

    So the people who respond and wind up 419 scammers are stalkers then ?

    Jowett sounds like a nightmare. I would contact gmail.com to try and get his account shut down (unless hes using another one). Nothing seems to be getting through that guys thick head

    I currently see a Gmail and Yahoo account, and visible filtering just makes him more determined.

    I have looked through the thread, and I see discussions of his behaviour, but nothing ad hominem. Please indicate the exact post you mean.

    I object to the title. I've seen serious real world consequences over much less. I added two filters to my gmail and I don't have a problem now. Other people can do likewise without starting a witch hunt.

    I disagree. The title is an accurate description of the contents. The contents describe an individual who is causing problems to many others. I had not heard about it until this point, and I have not received any contact attempts from him - and more to the point, because of this thread, I now know about the situation.

    Now. Can we stop being silly/arsey/flamey* and get back to talking about Spectrum's please?

    * delete where applicable.

    So you object to the title "Roger Jowett Problem", but have added two filters to your gmail and don't have a problem now.

    What title would you suggest?

    Then why not simply inform other users of how to apply the filters to gmail to stop it? Most may be able to figure hwo to do it on other email systems then.

    Moderators: this is becoming silly now. Obviously aowen is upset over the Dunny situation, and I sympathise to a large degree. I was in on the thread in Emulators that got closed with many posts deleted and we know how that was finished.

    I have closed this thread because I don't see anything further productive coming from it. I will do the same for any further threads that look like they're heading for a flame-war.

    Can I recommend that anyone who feels slighted about this go and get some fresh air and cool down for a bit. It's certainly cold enough out there right now.
