Didnt know you were based there, was on the outskirts yesterday (Bootle), think it was quite a rough area the part i went to ! There was me in my suit walking with my computer bag, tons of hooded chavs walking past constantly, not good !

Hope you're gonna go to the Sheffield retro show mate !

like everywhere else in the UK I bet there is a nice side to it..errm perhaps..

I grew up in / live part time one of the ruffest parts of London.. but to me it's not that rough. I mean widnes is rougher.. and toxteth used to have a name for itself years before when I was there.

London is pretty crap for snow, I mean it turns to slush etc far quicker.. I'm up the m1 (gotta drive in soon) and well it's scenic up here :) gotta leave early as I don't want the gritters lorry doing the paint work on my new car

my last karate lesson of the year in the morning, but I'll look out the window first, if it's all cold and snowy, I'll just go back to bed.

Well I'm in Boone NC and we have had 16" of snow fall over the last 30 hours.

Check out our hire car, you can hardly see it.

My mother in laws driveway is very steep and long we have been having fun sliding down it on plastic bin liners.

That will probably be Santa up on your roof, disturbing the snow, he has probably started delivering early due to the increase in population.......Merry Christmas mell ( How will he manage to get 12" down the chimney ? )........By the way Poodles often bark a lot.........

Just seen the weather forecast on News 24. Apparently a snow storm will plonks its arse on my area in the next hour or two and will stay there for another 18. I hope that's true.

Twilight Zone moment: tomorrow I'll be experimenting with snowfall models...

It better not! You don't live that far from me, so I'll probably get it too! It won't stick though - the ground is too radioactive!

Just been out in the car, aprox 20min round trip and in that time i had to overtake 4 cars traveling at speed of 20mph and bellow. Now for 19min of this trip i was travelling on fully lit and gritted roads with no sign of ice or 12ft deep snow drifts. Whats going on!!. Damned sunday drivers.

    Snowed here: Wolverhampton

    Just a covering though.
  • edited December 2009
this morning I had to hack ice off of the bike starter switch, and brush it off of the saddle, despite it being covered, it was very cold but no more snow, I'm quite condifent riding in daylight, say 10-3ish if the suns got some warmth in it, and there is no obvious frozen snow on the ground.

I do a few local runs at night, but stick to bus routes and am prepared to change my plans at the last minute, but I don't like to range too far from home.

    Just rain here.

And the droplets vapourise about 2 feet above the ground.

    Is this normal?

Just a light dusting in southern Scotland. I expect the upland areas have been harder hit, even just 1/2 hours drive away the conditions can be quite different to here.

That depends on if you're still inside your house or outside of it.
