Sure ... there is always the suicide-exit on the upper left side of The Dunny.

Right here's the story for MMM: TLL

Miles Mad Mission: The Lost Levels

After a particularly rowdy night at the WOS mansion things got slightly out of hand, the party went mental, Grizzly murdered a Lemonhead who was posing as a WoSser, Foggies missus turned up and made him go home just as he was
about to stab somebody, TKrap finally built the ultimate uber speccy out of tinfoil, prittstik, and cherry liquorice laces, and aliens landed and took Cornish Davey to planet blisstonia where he took his MIA's.

Miles must navigate the WOS mansion collecting all the Speccy related goodies, empty beer bottles, used condoms, empty ferrets, C90's, and more, before Beanz will let him go to bed.

Will there be "A Troll" hiding under Beanz's confusing metal bridge? Will Miles find Mels porn stash? Will B00mZilla finally show his face (or pay for the XBOX Bleugh sent him years ago). Will a trip to planet Blisstonia reveal long lost copies of Hands of Stone and the Speccy conversion of Rimrunner?

.....and never, never, underestimate the power of THUDERSTORMS!!!!

Is how the story went but imagine if on that fateful night things took a slightly different path, maybe if mile had got to the WoS Manor an hour earlier, or an hour later? Maybe he took a different route through the badlands? Maybe he was drawn to to CD's MIA's by different means? Maybe the party at the WoS manor went differently altogether? Maybe the events which occurred due to these factors meant that his journey was not quite the same as the story you know? Maybe the timeline is split down the middle following 2 different paths that conclude in the same ending thus joining the 2 again as if the 2 variations of what may have happened are actually insignificant to the end goal? Alas if neither path is taken then the end goal will never be met and poor Mile will never rest, due to the wrath of angry Beanz!

See what I did there

This is not an exact sequel, just a reworking, some of the rooms I made easier will have the hard bits re-introduced. Some of the existing rooms will have the layouts changed back to their original if they were reworked, or they will be re-arranged if not. Bonus rooms will be removed (that means no extra lives!)! Last minute additions to the original or weaker rooms will be dropped in favour of the rooms that didn't make it first time around, but some completely new ideas may be added instead of these rooms.

Hopefully this won't take another 18 months :D

Sounds good, like JSW II's way of thinking. Get to it!

    Nice one.

For some reason Miles Mad Mission doesn't run on my real +3 (it crashes as soon as it loads, even a snapshot saved from an emulator crashes) - but it does run on the Fuse +3 emulation . . .

I suppose I ought to fix the toast rack to have it on real hardware.

Cheers, and if it does go anything like last time I'll probably need it ;)

I still feel like I left a lot out of the original even though it was finished, and I did go through it to see if there was anything I could add. In the end the only things I added after it was finished if I remember was the teleporter bits in the MIA room because the teleporter was black on black and you could've quite easily missed it otherwise, and a vanishing wall infront of the teleporter in the C64 scene room. If I could've had an extra 10 or 15 rooms in the original I probably wouldn't even do this.

Although Beanz saying the Mile sprite was a waste if it was just to star in a single game kinda helped it along....along with all the other subtle hints about sequels and such :D

In typical Boozy style though this series of games will not go to a trilogy, I have enough of those under my hat. Although I have noticed that any JSW series I work on not brought to you today by the letters J, S, and W, and the number 3 never seems to get finished though?. I've been working on 7 Days in the Sun for 7 years now (fuck me backwards!!!! :o), perhaps a sign to get it finished? The Dark Quadrology has ground to a standstill with about 15 screens of part 2 done, and about 8 of part 4, funnily enough 3 hasn't been started and that's the one I had my really weird ideas for as well?

Hmmmm...That's a bit odd, and I have no idea what could be causing it, I wonder if any other JSW 64 games don't like the +3? I did do a lot of fiddling with the code though, maybe there's something the +3 ROM doesn't like in there?

I like the troll statues, who are they each supposed to be?

I guess the second from the left with the G.S. is GameStage?

I have just noticed that Mad Miles Mission went to adult games section.

It's that Gamestage screen isn't it?

A bit of shame that it is in adult section. Less people may discover about its existence.

I was wondering when somebody would ask this? Infact I'm surprised it wasn't quicker?

    Yup it's Gamestage, have you noticed he's holding a D :D

It still got announced on What's New as well as here in the forums (and on FreshBEEP), so there should be enough pointers to it.
Don't forget that people who aren't savvy to the forums probably wouldn't understand any of the in-jokes anyway. ;-)

Haha. It kind of needs to be there really, but no one's going to miss out on it or not discover it - It's famous!

Here's a couple of screenies for the next installment (or parallel universe type alongsidequel). It may give you an idea of the butchery of the old rooms taking place to make way for the new.

    MileII02.jpg

As you can see obviously a different screen to the left, and no extra life anymore.

    MileII03.jpg

A condensation of PJ's Library, Andrews Library, and The Archives, figured it would work like this due to recent events involving the infoseek forum (sorry Martijn :D). Plus it means I can free up 2 of the 3 screens for new ones.

I won't be posting too many of these type of things this time around though, since not every room is going to be replaced, and I'm not working on it from scratch.

So like I said hoping to cram a few of the missing screens in there, and add some completely new ones, that's about it really :D

I have to say I was a little disappointed with the end sequence of MMM...

The ending as I envisioned it.

After all the items are collected a blue pill appears in the bedroom...miles collects and hands the pill off to beanz who then both walk to the bed....humping below the bedsheets animation begins.

Just had a quick stab at it and I was rubish. It will try harder once I get more time. Well done Boozie.

It's not every day you get to say you appear in a Video game.

Well I've just trauled through all 63 pages of this thread so far looking for room ideas I missed, and between what I had left over and what I've got from this entire thread that's something like 32 bloody more screens.

Hope you buggers are happy cos' you know I'm going to have to do them now to get them off my mind, and away from me so I never have to worry about em' again!

    Room Idea:
    Boozie's Headache of a Room.

Bunch of scribbled names floating about in the room. Walls are also composed of scribbled names.

Right my file is almost tidied to the point where I can start the redux properly, I've dropped a lot of the pun heavy screens from the original, but there are a few which will have to stay to keep the map sensible.

I've altered the rooms "?", ".....Maybe it is?", and given a slight aesthetic tweak to "Scotties Dressing Room" (I haven't decided weither or not to keep this room yet?).

The deletenced rooms from the original which are most likely to make it in there this time are:

Pollution (infact this room is finished).
    Got M'ilk.
    Darens Webcam (vertigo).
Cornish Daveys UFO Landing Pad (Beanz).
Krunty's Super Fun House (room idea by Beanz, title by me).
Dr. Kendall will never believe this (Jumping Stack).
    The Rigged Voting Blues.

.....and a few from earlier in the thread that got missed last time around:

The GREENhouse (Greencard's shameless "put me in the game" type room :p).
River Sticks..erm..BUGGER??? (can't remember who suggested this? It was either ZXBruno or Jumping Stack?).
    Winstons Spectranet (Beanz).
    Miles goes Crab Fishing (Beanz).
Level 8 of Jet Set Fuckin' Willy! (Zagreb and ewgf).

...and a few completely new ones I'm gonna throw in there just for a lark!

Oi! I'm "WARNING" you! (Actually this one is finished).
The Revenge of Cassette 50 (This is a maybe I've been toying with adding it to about my last 8 JSW remakes and haven't yet? So maybe I won't?).
The Price is right Brucie (same place on the map, same title, different room, can you guess where I'm going with this one?).
    JC Auto.
Has Anybody Got a Fanboy Problem?

...and maybe that one Normski mentioned above here :D

Hopefully I'll actually get round to finishing this a lot quicker than the original, or at all, as to date I've never managed to finish a rework of a game file I've already finished off. It gets kind of annoying, and the game map and numbers and sprites end up all messed up and not as easy to work with as if you'd started from scratch.

But lets face it I was buggered if I was going to do that! :D

    A room idea:

    Rubber Banned!

A room with bouncing bristols (get my drift) and culinders and Ruberkeys being chased by Foggy Benny Hill style.

You're pretty close Scottie I've already started one called "The Triumphant Return (for now?)". This one still has the Mongy Lard chick in it since the room is actually replacing the original Mongy Lard screen, I basically wiped everything from the screen but her, and have started building a new one around the sprite.

Another one I forgot to mention as well yesterday, the room replacing Ravioli Harry, is a similar screen called "Izza Kizza!". I just need to know for def's what games he tried to claim credit for? I know it was ALS, and Steve Davis Snooker, but I can't remember the other few and the Atari-Age thread appears to have been chopped down to a single page (as if all the crazy stuff magically vanished?).
