Had a horrendous job getting to work on xmas eve. Had to walk the last mile to work through snow as the train wasn't stopping at my normal stop. Walking through snow in trainers is not a good idea!

Blowing a bloody blizzard out there now! We had lots of fluffy but heavy snow earlier, and now it's turned wet but the wind is picking up the earlier stuff and filling the roads with it...

Looks like I might be stranded at the parents for a while yet...which means I get to use the internet, which isn't all bad! Until we get the inevitable power cut.....

Yeah, supposedly....well, it's meant to stop snowing up here by the weekend, but then some Easterly winds are going to drop it to -20 in some parts of Scotland....It's going to be fun....:(

    3C?! Luxury!

3C would feel warm right now...

It's warmed up here now it's only about -9, last night it was probably -15 (that's in 'C not 'F).

...and we're due some more snow this time, and it's gonna stick apparently, and this is only going to be the first of a whole lot more apparently.

Its snowing here in West London, not too bad but it will still be there in the morning and the chap on the TV said more was coming.

Mrs Spex said I should challenge the bloke next door to see who can build the best snowman. I have a feeling its going to be a long winter....

This will give you an idea of how cold it can get in Montpelier, ID sometimes. On December 10th 2009 it got down to -27C at night (without wind chill). And so far this winter is not considered to be that bad! From looking at Weather.com it seems that the record for December is -35C! :-o

Just looked at the record low for Idaho itself and it is -51C! Not sure where in Idaho that is though.

It's really so different to England. I never imagined I would be living out here; it's funny the way things work out. There may be snow for 5 or 6 months of the year but at least we get hot summers out here as a consolation. Apparently this area is classified as a desert. It's not how I imagined a desert!

^^ Not sure why my text has gone small! Maybe it's the cold?!

I would like to point out to the gentleman known as psj that the snow he is now seeing is different snow from that seen a week ago and that snow did indeed melt some time after my post.

But on a serious note im getting a bit fed up with snow now it started yesterday and by this morning it was about two ft deep, i fell over twice on the way to work. Did get to leave work early though.
