Spanish games

edited January 2010 in Games
I'd love to play some of the spanish games on wos.

But could anyone out tell the spanish for up, down, left, right, fire, jump etc etc.

I think it would be useful for everyone.

Oh I could say the same for the russian games too :)

    I normally use...

Just type in the words to translate, pretty good for basic/medium phrases/words

There was some project here on WOS of making translation table with typical commands in different languages. I don't remeber what happened with it.

If you play Spectrum games a bit you will learn that in Spanish:

    arriba - up
    abajo - down
    izquierda - left
    derecha - right
    fuego - fire

This are the only Spanish words I know :)

Yeah i dont know much spanish, just a few phrases when I was abroad..

Cu?nto para pasar la noche, ?Qu? m?s puedo conseguir con el masaje

... and the most important of all:

    One Beer = Una birra.
One more beer = Otra birra.

And please let me go in topic to add: Jump = Saltar (no use in real life but interesting when playing some spanish games)

I've always thought that spanish graphics were some of the best to grace the speccy IMHO.

I was always in awe at a lot of the games even if they didn't play too well the eye candy was enough for me to keep going.

Next words are missing from the wikia list:

    jugar - play

    empezar - start

    cerveza - beer

(birra is an italian word you must use when you're very drunk)

I do like crazily playing Army Moves, hard as hell but its fun trying a few times to see if you can get further.

Juan - Are there any decent 'Manic Miner' style platform games from Spain worth trying ?

Hmmm... I don't know about any Manic Miner style one, but in a kinda Jet Set Willy/Panama Joe fashion, you may try World Destruction by Ventamatic.

In the same way Metalbrain said, I'm thinking of:

    - Livingstone, supongo
    - Ramon Rodriguez

Abu Simbel Profanation, Phantomas and Phantomas II are said to be JSW clones, spanish-styled.

I was wondering about this whole "Livingstone" matter.
What is a point to make a game where the hero can't get to the rope with pressing "UP" key...? ftp://ftp.worldofspectrum.org/pub/sinclair/games/l/LivingstoneSupongo(SmallCase).tap.zip
Sadly most of Spectrum games are like that. They look nice (better than brickpixels on Atari and Commodore) but one can't even leave the first chamber, or - gets killed in first 5 seconds.
Well, of course I have no idea about playing games but this is going too far. ;)

Now I remember that La Abadia Del Crimen game; was there ever a full English translation hack? Looking through some old threads, I swear you mentioned it. That's two questions in five minutes for you!

    Still here:

It's a beta because it needs some finishing touches, but it can be completed as it is right now. The proof is here:
