dodgy bayer

just to let you know, I have got a refund off "the" auction site..

and not to buy speccy things off someone called "baconbuttyman" the email begins with "bankbusters" or along them lines, he has a lardy dog as his pic profile.. the **** couldn't even be bothered to post the speccy games, even given 3 weeks.

    he was too busy making bacon butties for him and his dog?:-P, i've had similar problems i waited 15days for a speccy before i contacted and when i did i got some bull about being ill and said they had sent in the post that day (15 days later). Considering it was 4-6 days delivery i thought a refund should have been offered and i ended up waiting for 4weeks. I left neg feedback for the 1 and only time :evil:

    I had a slightly similar situation where a buyer only got a top bid of ?25 for a package that should have gone for about?100, six weeks later, when contacted he said that the package had been lost in the post, but that he would give me a full refund, including postage, without question as I had such a good feedback record. He also said that he would be putting another similar package up in a few weeks and to watch for it, I suppose the money helped him over Christmas, but it was a cheeky move.
    Every time I read that the oldest person in the world has died, I have to do a quick check to see it isn't ME..........

    long long ago got an ebayer said he'd never got his stuff, very common game, so I sent him more, and he said he still didn't get it, so I refunded him 200% what he paid, and he still whinged about it. some people are just gits.

    so I get a refund ?3.28.. BUT it's for ?3.99 I paid.. I emailed , saying I'm not paying 60p for NOTHING.. cheeky **** should pay the transaction fee as well.

    hhmm there is scope for both parties to be well "off" , but for ?1-5 makes you wonder. I can understand if it was like a LOT of money, but well.. I don't get it.

    On the other hand though there are some really nice sellers, during the postal strike I was waitin a hwile for a kempston interface and getting anxious i asked for proof of posting and the seller offered me another one free of charge but alas there was no need as the cheeky postman had only left it under the wheelie bin:D

    Yes I agree, I have had some fantastic sellers, some have hand delivered for free, some have added extras with packages for free ( sometimes an extra box free ), some have sold me packages which they were thinking of putting up, because they were fed up with being ripped off by E-Bay, I ve had very few which have tried it on, on the whole I have enjoyed dealing with them all.

    Agreed the majority of people are on ebay are decent and a pleasure to deal with i can think of a lot more situations where i have been happy with the transaction. Take for instance when i went to pick up a +2A in Birmingham, the guy was really good had the computer set up for me and was even offering to throw in some +3disks, although I turned them down cos i was travelling by bus and i already had like 100 tapes, joysticks, gun and the computer all for the princely sum of 19.99 and 3quid bus fare

    I got my +2 like that ?10.. untested , but the games / add ons were worth ?10 easily (joysticks and joystick converters etc) so I took a gamble.

    sometimes "pickup only" has REALLY helped me.. but to do it , I've done 80 mile trip in one case. thats the only way I would have got an original 48k machine, BUT it doesn't work.. so he refunded the majority of the money to pay for it to get repaired. (very soon hopefully)

    if i had enough money and a car i think most of my spare time would consist of driving round picking up spectrums and accessories;)
