Long good Friday.

edited January 2010 in Chit chat
Well actually long good Thusday actually, or well for me long shite Wednesday I've not been to bed yet, but never mind.

Anyways I've been working late into the early hours and have had the theme tune to the film "Long Good Friday" in my head all bloody night. The funny thing is I've never watched the film. (I know, I know).

Anyways I cracked and found the tune on youtube. Now I really want to see that film. I must get it on DVD or my brain wont stop having the damn tune going round and round. The comments indicate the film is a real goodun.

I got a copy of The Long Good Friday on DVD free with something or other a few years ago.

I haven't watched it yet, but I'm sure there'll come a day when there literally is nothing else I'd rather watch.

I went to see the remake 90's, it was awfull absolutely awfull. Unfortunately we were sent to go by a local radio station my friend was doing reviews for. We all had to go dressed as gangsters, but I must say the remake was the worst film I ever did see.

It put me right off watching the original.

Because of this thread i'm going to watch the long good friday in the next day or two. For some reason i never got into this film, not a fan of Bob Hoskins but everyone does rave about it. Do like gangsta type films so i'll give it a go.

Saw The Long Good Friday a few times already and like it very much (together with the originals of Get Carter and The Italian Job btw).

IIRC, a very young Pierce Brosnan makes a brief appearance at the end of the movie.

I've had it on dvd for a few years now and i love it. It's one of the better British gangster films. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes gangster films to watch it.
