Codemasters Games
I have listed several codemasters games on SellMyRetro - some are not due for the auctions to start until 6.30pm tonight.
As I am sure you all know, they are all distribution denied, so if anyone wants one of them - head on over to http://www.sellmyretro.com/search?keyword=codemasters

This is a public service announcement. Thank you for your co-operation.
Hi Phil -
I must admit I forget about the preservation team shop - you could do with a webstore on sellmyretro as a free link back to your own site (probably better to have a World of Spectrum webstore and include details in there )!!

I'm sure I'll be putting more on soon.. simply because I don't want 10 * bmx or atv simulator :)

if your not worried about "mint condition" or tape covers with slight damage then maybe it's for you.. if you are, then buy elsewhere.
That's a very kind offer, but entirely pointless as I'm nothing to do with the Preservation Team. I was just pointing out that your prices are significantly higher than you can easily obtain elsewhere.
How many sellers are using sellmyretro today, out of interest?
I should point out that the Preservation Team Shop has no direct connection with World of Spectrum to ensure there is no possible suggestion that WOS is in any way at all a commercial site.
The PTS is used to raise some funds to help offset the costs involved in getting hold of material missing from WOS which is then freely donated in the same way as all other submissions.
Bit of a catch 22, prices on there might be slightly higher than ebay but obviously it has wayyyyyyy less people bidding than ebay so some bargains can probably be had.
But ebay still is king as fog pointed out, can get a lot of games dirt cheap there, even the R@RE L@@K ! ones ! ;)
I decided to set up sellmyretro.com as I was forking out over ?100 a month in ebay fees and as a business seller, I still do not get free listings below 99p - the truth is that their fees were crippling me and stopped me selling anything low cost as for a business seller, listing at 99p - cost 15p to list, plus 10% final fee and in many cases they would not let me charge postage so not only did the initial price of items look artificially high, but they were also taking 10% of the postage fees (PayPal take enough of that as it is).
There are various benefits of sellmyretro for sellers
- no listing fees, so if your item does not sell (even with a fixed price of ?100) you don't lose out
- no fees for more than one picture
- final value fee is only 2% (not 10%)
- you can charge postage fees on anything
- I promote my listings more widely (for example on Facebook and twitter) as people will know that they will only get listings for retro/vintage computers and electronics
For buyers
- with less people, the items may be cheaper to purchase - certainly it is less likely to attract rogue bidders who don't pay!
- it is a lot easier to find what you are looking for as categories are by the different makes and models of retro computers - whereas on ebay, you are lucky if you can get it in retro computing -> Sinclair
ebay may be king so far as visitor traffic is concerned, but with the amount of last minute sniping going on and the exhorbitant fees which they charge, it is all too easy to see the benefits of using another site.
And as for prices possibly being higher on there than ebay - that is because it is me who as a seller has set the prices for my items - anyone can list them for 1p a tape if they want to. 25p for a tape is not worth my time and effort in listing it - let alone going the 5 miles to the local post office to send it out.

and suddenly the mists clear.hehe
I know what been said about the fee's though, it's easy to get caught out by them TBH. selling the tapes and clawing back some money from what I've bought as doubles is really the only way for me to buy more bundles, only reason I do it.
But I do have a chuckle when something something is stupidly over priced.. the ones with best offer.. I offer, and strangely enough they reject it.. hehe I never knew an originally budget game sold for ?2-11 + ?5 postage.hehe
