I've been meaning to post this for years

GAMESTAGE. Yep, you know 'em.

Okay, so they're weird - but why...

why...

why...

Is their logo ripped from a Lidl's cereal packet?

Any other such strange, Speccy related rip-offs - Or have Gamestage clinched it again?

I love the awards hes won...

    http://www.gamestage.net/english/awards.html

    'Candle Comfort award' ??!

So basically someone who has done a candle site and somehow reviewed Gamestage and said how great it was, clicking on the candle comfort award takes you to..

http://www.candlecomfort.com/ - So are they the new company to review sites ??!

Some of the other links are totally dead, not like www.bbc.co.uk have given him a good rating. A few dead links and a (probably his mates) candle site ?!?

    Bizarre

Worth posting the bee pic just to see that! :)

If the awards site looks like that then i think everyone will get one.

Its like saying my website gets a ton of traffic and i include all the spammers who email me etc.

    This is just bizarre.

Hey Graz maybe you should use the Lidl Bee on the cover for Bee Keeper Manager ;)

Ouch! That frame set is sooo year 2000! Page longer fits with modern browsers. Scrollbars kick in to add insult into injury. It shouldn't take much to sort out a bit of W3C on this site (bless!).

    Those award links are comical!

Did you notice the "credits" flash window in the header? Need to right click Zoom to view the links!

Haha! It had crossed my mind :)
For BKM, I'm utilizing the bees I drew for the un-used Quantum Gardening cover. All my own work! :) - ps: did a bit more to it a couple of weeks ago. Getting there. ;)

Quick! Someone mail the cereal company and get Gamestage sued
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

Maybe Gamestage was the artist who created the bees for Lidl ? :)

And he liked them so much that he placed them on the site.

I can't imagine any other reason why somebody would place bees from cereal box on his site about Zx Spectrum :)

On a different but slightly related subject,
I saw in Aldi a breakfast cereal called 'Benefit Flakes'.

Why would anyone want to eat the flakey bits from someone in the dole office?

Possible, but he shouldn't be so stingy and revamp the layout ;)

Maybe the bees aren't from Lidl to begin with and, like Gamestage, they just nicked it off the web or something.

It is hilarious though. But since when did you have that bee design on the cereals, is it recent or has it been like that in ages? I mean, as far as I remember Gamestage has had those bees for a few years.

lol, I just noticed that there is german text on that cereal package in the bottom left. In the UK wtf?

Does it have a feature advertised on the package, like "Free ASBO inside"?

i'd have thought it would be a stock image from some graphics library. it'd be a bad idea for any business to steal graphics from the web

Lidl is a German shop, selling in UK. They've had the Bee on the cereal 15 years or more.

    I like Lidl.

They had some edible "Minges" on sale last year. I've got a photo of them somewhere.

I suppose it could have been worse, he could have chosen the big brown turd from the box to its left. :D

Brown on brown??!!?? Not very spectrum is it?

Oh yeah, I saw them! I see now that they've been taken away from our local store :D
...And these lispy-foreign folks ask us to change the names of our brands!

Haha, I see that some web-sabotage is required here. The brown turn would sum that site up quite well!

I should take the SD card out of my old phone and transfer the pics onto the computer, as I've taken quite few photos of comedy stuff I've found on the shelves at work (and other shops).

There's a store near me that's pretty crap tbh and it had several types of "potatoe" salad in it's cooler.

At my work they had "Homo Milk" on sale I got a photo of the sign because I couldn't believe it. Obviously it was short for homogenized, but they actually put a sign up saying homo milk $2.99 or something like that. I've also found tags "cheese muff" "hot coc mix", and "orange pee" to name a few.

Also just a few names of actual brands they have these little toffee sweet things called nips, and they have apple juice and sauce called Motts which always makes me think of fannies

You know what I saw at the weekend I almost too a picture of then, damn I almost brought a couple. Wish I had now.

At the car boot sale this bloke was sellning a rack of ex promotional T-Shirts for a pound each.

The T-Shirts were white but had in big writing yellow and blue writing on the front JOFFA. Then underneath in small writing, "We help professionals".

You just know that you missed a once in a lifetime opportunity there Scottie.

Best T-Shirt I got like that was an Initial T-Shirt, not that special really but I used to wear it for comedy value since Initial make toilet parts :D

About 5 years ago, I put a vinyl record called "STRAP ON" by US punk band on EBAY.

    Full EBAY title:

Diesel Boy - Strap on 7" - vinyl

this is the picture from it:

    535.jpg?1155006792

Anyway - I kept getting strange questions like "is it clean?" and "has it been used?" and "is it washable?"

Well... I answered - it's fairly clean for it's age, and yes it's been played. I wouldn't advise washing it though...

An American bloke bought it, and sent the money. A few hours later, he said he'd just realised that he'd bought the wrong thing, and said I could keep the money, and there was no need to send the record out.

Whatever could he have thought he'd bought?

Lol, I don't know why but it reminds me of the Harry Potter Vibrating Broomstick. Yeah I know, it's old. Read the quoted Amazon reviews. Hilarious.
