Get a bread maker from a boot sale and make your own pizza. Much nicer and cheaper in the long run.

Thats what I had tonight, home made pizza. Mmmmmmmm :)

When its 3 for a fiver you dont expect the freshest finest organic ingredients!

Maybe I've been unlucky, but, from my experience, fourteen quid from the local pizza shop and you don't expect the freshest finest organic ingredients either!

Anyone here into this organic stuff ? My friends are into it big time, going on and on about 'you dont know what stuff they spray on crops or what they add to it....' stuff.

Thing is i know for a fact on friday nights theyre quite happy sniffing crap up their nose and taking e's. So those sorts of drugs are okay, but non-organic tomatoes etc, oohhh stay away from those ! ;)

I'm not really arsed about organics and stuff, but a while back my wife needed carrots for something she was making me and the regular ones were sold out. So I begrudgingly paid $1.99 for a bunch of organic carrots (can't remember what she was making me but I think the fact she was making it for ME was a strong factor in the purchase). I love carrots though (strangely you couldn't pay me to eat them when I was a nipper), and I always like to nick a few bits when they've been chopped up or whatever.

These ones were so good it was totally bizarre, for the first time ever I really did "taste the difference". I'll be 100% honest that I was really surprised, because until that moment I'd been saying "Organic? Bollocks it doesn't taste any different at all!".

Still haven't went off on a tangent of buying all organic stuff but I don't mind trying it every now and then.

Yeah i cant tell the difference with most things, had a ?1 chilli con carne last night, flippin beautiful !

My dad raves on about this 'tiger bread' which he gets, just tastes like normal crusty bread, nothing major. He also gets his eggs from a local farm as theyre more 'natural', if anything they tasted quite dull, prefer the extra additives or whatever supermarket eggs have !

I must admit i bought a pot of homemade mayo from this online company and that did taste amazing, so nice i was actually eating a fair bit straight from the pot.

But most things i dont mind if its not fresh, like i say a cheap pizza from a supermarket i dont expect totally fresh ingredients when its a quid or two I do try and eat healthy but flippin salad doesnt last long before going off.

sometime si get mince from the butcher, its so nice that i just fry it and put in ontop of my pasta without any sauce.

recently ive been having a steak for my breakfast on saturdays. cost about 4 quid.

fry it with a few mushroom and tomatos, tastes great cant imagine my heart is right happy tho.

i dont tip the takeaway man, i mean i don't get extra money ready for him, but if its 10p change, i say he can keep it, which i think is very generous of me.

in fact i noly tip in restaurants, and even then its a 50p fix.

you dont tip the paramedic who has just restarted your heart so why should i tip someone for bringing me the kebab that caused the heart attack. madness

I only tip a waitress in a restaurant if she is sexually attractive to me. Well, we got to have our own boundaries and rules right? This is natural selection in action for all you anti-Darwinists out there.

The local ASDA (and I assume all ASDAs) makes fresh pizzas. Three for a fiver. Only takes ten minutes in the oven. And freezable. With a little foresight, probably quicker than ordering in.

*fights the urge to say 'simples'*

Both our local ASDA's make fresh pizzas, but it's two for ?4 here!

Anyhow, my wife and I had a treat from our local Chinese last night after the monsters were tucked up in bed and asleep (although it wouldn't surprise me if our eldest was either feasting on sweets or playing some Pokemon game)..

Two portions of barbacue spare ribs - ?4.50 per portion and because I know the woman who works there/owns the place, we always get quality. No delivery charges since the shop is only 5 minutes walk away.

(also, some lunchtimes I go there and get a tub of chips covered in curry or bbq sauce for ?2.00)

Certain other nights, we get chicken curry from another place (they do it better) - two lots of curry, with rice and chips comes to ?12.50 including delivery.

You wanna hope that nice chinese lady you know from the first place isn't a spec-chum or you've just lost your perks at that shop

our locals are Captain Tony's (fairly obscure american franchise) and Papa Johns

    PJ's are fecking expensive though

CT's are our favourite and we normally get a large pizza with 3 toppings, garlic bread w/ cheese, chips and a bottle of coke for ?11.99

They do calzones with a choice of 3 toppings.

She doesn't know a single thing about computers (and neither does the co-owner/her husband)! Three weeks ago, they were asking my opinion on some computer stuff on what to get and things like that!

and I DO walk there! We do phone in the order though but I walk there to collect it (unless it's lousy weather, then the wife drives down to collect it, I can't legally drive due to medical problems)
