    Good on him!

Even though I think Bruce Everiss is a blinkered, egotistical, sociopathic, self absorbed wanker, he was 100% right in what he said and did here.
    Every night is curry night!

He hasn't "won" anything, the other side dropped the case...

If you are being sued for oodles of money and they drop the case...I'd call that a win if I was the one being sued.

I'm glad those bullies have had to pay up, good on him.

It takes someone like Bruice to stand up to them and call their bluff.

    It's also a win because:

    - the Evony people are going to have to pay legal costs (meaning they were hoist by their own petard -- too many times they just leave the "winner" with legal costs)
    - the Streisand effect - it means that there's more bad publicity for Evony.

Curious that if they don't pay up, the case resumes until they do. Weird...

That's a good song, but I much prefer this slightly indirect go at the Daily Fail.

Even egotistical self publicising self righteous marketoids can be right sometimes

He might be a closed minded hypocrite, but credit where it's due; he stood up for what's right this time round, and fortunately for us all he won. If he'd have lost, then it might well have given the green light for more cheats to employ this libel tourism con.

I wonder if this result will mean the case against the Grauniad's will disappear as well and there original article will now reappear back online?.Apparently one of the Grauniads lawyers was helping Bruce with the case (on what basis I don't know) so they have a vested interest.

Fab! Not someone who I would want to call a 'winner' but never the less a win for the lesser of two evils.

if it was that important , someone else would have taken it up.. it just happened to be him.

he's a bit like jordan of the games industry.. likes to get his name banded about... and errm what games did he code / draw / compose music for ? damn suit... and there are more suits out there I rate higher.

well because of his case they can perhaps use that to help theirs.. a lot of all this lawyer stuff just pays for their golf club membership ;) and out of court is easier for them AND they still pocket dosh.

I've just been on Mr Everis's site, to see if the legal problems are now solved (as aparently even though he won, if Evony refused to pay the court costs, then things could all kick off again), and he's not updated the site in nearly a week. Stranger still, Evony now have adverts on his site!

    Strange, eh?

Evony have always had adverts on his site, all though this court case and before, he also carries adverts from several other companies he has criticised.

Maybe its Google ad sense picking up on the theme of his discussions and offering appropriate ads. I'm sure Bruce has little control over what adverts appear on his site.

Yeah, but I bet he's loving it. Evony pay him, via Google, to rubbish them.
